Homm4 ToH registration
All players who are currently registered in ToH do not need to reregister. All their data will remain the same, except that all players' records are reset to 0-0 1000. All medals are also removed and reset, with exception of the veteran dragon/wyvern icons. Also, new dragon/wyvern icons will be added to anyone's record who was ranked baron or higher in ToH this season.

Trivia
Will there be another trvia tournament when heroes IV is out?
I really like that tournament even though i kept missing the time different.
If it is comming back cant it be resstricted just to Saturdays that way nearly everyone can participate?

Subtournaments
Right now there is no plan for another trivia tournament in Homm4 seasons. It is one of the most time consuming subtournaments for me; with all that is going to be going on with clans, divisions and many other subtourneys it is quite unlikely there will be any trivia tourn for a long while.

Did 3DO replied to your letter that you sent about the fact that you host TOH and attract players?
My Reply:
Oh, they know about ToH and visit it daily, and will 'guide' me whenever there is something not to their liking; however, they will not lift a finger to help or sponsor. Ive long learned to live with it, for 3D0 unfortunately is not one for fan support, even for one of such sheer size and influence in the heroes community

Are old player records going to be saved from this season when HOMM IV comes out? Or will I have to cherish my wonderful 1-1 record forever?

Record History
All season records are kept in History to view, this season just like the others. All records are reset for the new homm4 season, but you can always look back at old records on the homm3 record history section to see all the old rankings as they were on the last day of the seasons I through IV.

Have some things to ask or notice:
1__Noticed in past rankings section,at seasonIII-lieutenants doesnt open...lost data or just slipped your attention?
2__Some veteran players who changed their handles, doesnt have their past ranking icons(like atma-ex Tromaras and dilon-ex trellos21,just happens to know themSince no banning involved shouldnt they carry over their ToH past?
3__Is it ok for 2 ToH members to play against eachother at an Internet coffee shop, and then report their results?would it be a problem having same IP adress?
4__Reporting clan, division, sheild win/loss,gives/takes you normal ranking points too?meaning, does it count as free challenge games too?
thanx for listening///insatiable

1- Old rankings pages wont be html files anymore, but one large screenshot of the whole page scrollable. This will keep the bandwidth and we wont worry about links issues.
2- Anyone can carry over their ToH past, but they need to ask me to carry it over, I am not psychic, and do not know when a player reregisters under a new name, and does not tell me.
3- There is a limit of 3 games vs a same player in hot seat, lan, or internet cafe. Anymore beyond that per season may risk penalties or removal of record.
4- All clan/division/warlords games counted for free challenge points, and always will. If it is a subtournament option you report on the main winloss report program, then you know it will affect your score. On the other hand, something like battlefest, is reported directly to lichking, which means that it doesnt count for ToH points, and has a separate system altogether.

Dragon/Wyvern Icons
The Dragon/Wyvern Icons will be within specific points ranges, so if a baron is at 1100 on seasons' end, he would not get any award.
About the 3 game reporting rule, like mad unicorn said, because of fake reporters. There is no way to prove an individual, and this is an online tourney, you are meant to play others, not your family & best friends only. As an example, in my 3 years in ToH I have played my roomate and Melissa over 100 times. Only 3 games over the 4 seasons ever got recorded for ToH. Otherwise I would have a much more beefed up record, since I won 99% of these games.

Just an idea
Just an idea for the new automation scheme. Since all players report the maps that they played on, could a script spit out a page that shows the stats on each map, i.e., games played on each map? it could be a list of the top 20(?) or somesuch with a dropdown menu to get the stats on individual maps or a link to a page to get NEXT 20, etc.. Many possibilities. This would be a different presentation of data that new players searching for popular maps may find useful, but may also be inspiring to the map authors. Another idea...players could rate maps (after reporting a game only) to give some measurable player choice rating to maps. Players could view this "quality" rating and compare it to the "times played" score and see when they are overplaying a map that nobody likes, or undeplaying a great map. Also, by limiting "rate the map" to once per report of an actual game on it, you provide some security against map rating inflation/deflation and make each rating of the map require a game to be played on the map.
What do you think?
Prometheus
----------------------------------
The castle lay in ruins about them as across the plain did march the deity of fire.
The bravest of them shouted to the thing, "What creature are you!?"
The creature studied the man before answering.
"I am the sum of all I have met."
The creature paused and studied the uncomprehending faces assembled from the dead and dying.
"I see by each of your faces that you are afraid and this is quite understandable, for I -- having met your fear at this moment -- am the sum of all your fears."
The air grew hot around the men.

that sound beautiful, prom, but ive been milked dry by ToH, and in a month, by the taxman. I cannot afford it. Ive spent over $7000 into toh this year. Melissa is going to medical school, and I must put my priorities where it counts. For a non-sponsored, one-man-does it all site, I dont think anything comes close to ToH in its automation complexity and activity.
Lets start by having serious people who are interested in volunteering, to support the bigger freakshow that will be ToH in a few months.

Character Bios?
I have a suggestion although i dont want to cause you any more work on this.
In the players information page where the pic, name and medals etc are displayed.
What about al little space for either a short bio of the avatar you are using or a little message like the one in heroes community.
We have them and i think it would make the players have a little more characterisation to them.

Roleplaying ToH
Something I wanted to keep under wraps for a while was the 'rpg-ish' addition to ToH rankings. In homm4 ToH, when you achieve the status of Legionnaire, you can open up a 'player profile' section, which lists an even more detailed history, and a mini-homepage with all the info you want to put about yourself.
Beyond this, you also get 'attribute points' which are gained by winning division campaigns as a leader, or investing ToH points into these attribute points. There are several attributes one can choose from, like 'skills' you could call them. Right now I've left this section in stasis, because there is a long way to that point, but it will enhance further interest beyond the basic rankings scheme for players who get to be of a very high rank.
What does all these attributes do? Enhance gameplay, or your command ablilities in a division, or even modify/enhance your scoring points in ToH games.
