As Jorn finished assuring the soldiers the base is clear, dozens of machines emerge from another hatch they had forced open. They started crawling in, and the vacuum of space starts sucking the oxygen out.
As they hurriedly put on there masks the soldiers look at Jorn. "Yeah, looks clear to us! We don't know what happened here, we just got here!" luckily more have beamed down, but that hatch needs closed pronto. Their tanks will only last so long.

Suddenly .. the machines stop...and begin to fall back. The wall shudders, and then shudders again. A large hole is tore open, and the biggest and ugliest machine yet can be seen. It looks like several machines have been welded together in a haphazard shape, partially resembling some sort of giant mechanical Scorpian. As it comes through the newly formed hole, it's hide shimmers a bit.
One of the soldiers fire off a shot, and it bounces off of the shimmer. It has some sort of shield around its entire body.

- Cyber Rat, show the map!
A hologram depicting the base appeared.
- The red dots symbolise the enemy. The largest mass is concentrated here- he pointed at the main briefing hall.
- and most guard the way to it. I'm feeling weak too Baal, but we must move forward. 5 minutes! Rest up and prepare!
- Umm... Scorch, you might want to look back- Said Swede.
Alex looked back and saw the scorpion like machine.
- HOLY S&%#!- the energy cells of his carbine were still recharging. Only a miracle could save them now.

Baal created ice wall in front of the creature but this mutant easily destroyed it by few punches.
"We should invent something more complicated... Attention to all G.R. need help!"

A hole is opened up as the Scorpian Creature advances, revealing that the two groups (Jorn and his group, Baal/Alex and their group) were closer then they thought. Seeing the rather large creature Talix transforms into a T-Rex, and charges it...just to bounce off the shield. He lands with a THUD. Luckily the vacuum from the open hatch actually helps the group, the Scorpian is slowed down as it has to fight to not be sucked into space.

Enigma's Hand soon arrived at the base. He first tried to land it in the hangar, but failed due to the infestation, so instead he attached the ship onto the side of the base. Enigma's Hand drew upon his power, and found that he could once more teleport. In the room where the other Rangers were fighting, he suddenly appeared. All of the others backed up fearing that he was one of their enemies, but he then said, "Do not worry. I am here to help you."

- Then don't just stand here you moron, do something!- Shouted Alex. He was desperately firing from his pistol, but the explosive bullets were no match for the scorpion's shield. Even Udirah's blades had no efect on the machine.
- If only there could be a way to disrupt the shield's energy source, than a few shots in it's head would be enough to destroy it.- Said Magpy.
- Hey, that's a great idea! Cyber Rat, look for it's weakspot!
- On it!
Alex switched his carbine's bayonet to a grenade launcher.
- Only 7 EMPs left. Hmm...
- What are you planing?
- To take out as much of those tin cans as possible!- Said Alex as he launched the first EMP charge.

Enigma's Hand was thinking as to what he should do, then suddenly a voice spoke inside of his mind, "It is I, Enigma, your master. Do not be troubled by this monstrosity's shield. Your mortal minds only believe there is a shield there. Walk through into it, and you shall find that there is nothing to fear."
Enigma's Hand then quickly found a grenade and jumped onto the machine. He quickly found a crevice, activated the grenade, put it in, and jumped out before being hit by the mech.
The grenade exploded, but it wasn't defeated yet, only slightly weakened.

Blaster fire was unleashed upon the machine. Unable to whitstand the heat, the machine ignited from inside.

Just as Jorn cut off one of the legs, the machine caught fire from the combination of Enigma's Hand attack and Alex's. There is a small 'Whump' sound and Jorn goes flying..straight toward the open airlock. While breathing is not a problem for the Undead, even he couldn't survive the vacuum of space. Right before he is sucked out to implode a furry figure grabs him and teleports him to safety. With the large one destroyed, the smaller ones start another tactic.
They aim their lazers...at the walls. With Martica out of commission, that is very bad. Some here don't have to breath, but even they would have a difficult time with the Vacuum.

- Don't let those pricks damage the walls!- Shouted Alex. He shot the last EMP at the aproaching mass.
- Look's like we're gonna do this the hard way!- Alex detached the grenade launcher from his gun, and replaced it with a sort of taser.
- Use ionised plasma or electric weaponry! It's the only way to bypass their shields! Baal, could you patch up the wall with ice that'll hold till we seal the area and get our asses away from here?

"Roger that!" - Baal replied and then crackling noise could be heared as walls began covering with 30cm layer of ice from inside.
"Hurry up, I have no much power remained!" - Baal yelled and continued working with walls.

Jorn charges at one of them and drains the life form of engery and goes for another.
he smiles and draws his guns and opens fire.

As the other mechs prepared to destroy the protective wall, Enigma spoke to his servant through his mind.
"These warriors should not be feared. Use your sword and defeat these foul machinations!"
Enigma's Hand drew his sword and teleported onto one of the bots and stabbed it, destroying it. Enigma's Hand then sliced many of the mechs apart while Jorn and Udirah join the fight, slashing and tearing their way through the crowd of mechas. With the swords of Enigma's Hand, Jorn, and Udirah, and the firepower from Alex, Baal, and the other IDP members, the robots were soon destroyed, however, the wall weakened, almost breaking apart. Enigma's Hand then heard from his master, "Teleport into the next room! There you shall find controls to opening blast doors that you can quickly let your comrades in before they are sucked away!"
Enigma's Hand did so, teleporting into the next room and opening blast doors for the others who entered the shelter before the wall came apart. Fortunately, the doors closed tight before the wall came off.

- I don't even want to think how close this was!- Shouted Psycho after the attack was repelled. Alex punched him in the shoulder.
- We still had worse. Remember Indonesia? Or those caves in Mars?
- Yeah, but compared to this those were just a walk in the park.
- Situations like these are the everyday of my job. Cyber Rat, show us the map again.
- There is still a huge mass of enemy machines concentrated near the main briefing hall. Though I can't say for sure, but I think they're guarding someone. Or something.
- I see. Ok team, rest up. In 15 minutes we're be heading to the main briefing hall, and finally smoke out those things like roaches from our grandma's house!- He lighed up a cigar and sat down on the cold floor of the base.

Enigma's Hand then said to all of the others, "There is no time to waste, we need to find the source of all of these machinations or we shall all be destroyed!"
A random IDP member then said, "What makes you so sure about that? Who are you anyways? You clearly aren't a merc or part of the IDP, for all we know, you could be leading us into a trap!"

The men are exhausted, and Baal and me need to replenish our mental strenght.- He blowed out a huge smoke circle.- I do not know how you regain your sanity, and I doubt I'll ever want to know. The point is, we need to rest. Look at them- Alex pointed at the recruits.- They're almost fainting. Do you really want to rush them straight to battle? Rule 20 lad, a rested soldier is ready to face anything.

- I wonder, how you evade jailing? Nevermind, don't answer that, just carry on. As I said, our men are demoralised as well.- He finished smoking and stood up. He checked his pistol's ammo.
- Damn, I'm out of explosive rounds. Only anti armor. I guess it'll have to do.

"Do not fear, they are your allies. Do not reveal me to them until the time is right, for now, you shall have to stick as Geist. However, that is not important now. The bomb they have planted on the base will create a black hole, using some of my energy. How they harvested my power is unknown. But let that not dissuade you, if your comrades will not go, then you must do it alone." replied Enigma.
"As you wish..."
Enigma's Hand then said to his comrades, "The bomb within this base will create a black hole that would kill all of us. If you truly value your life, then come with me. If not, then I shall have to go alone."
