can't we get something more interesting like more in-game combat videos (I loved Xhanes video! and it had a lot of views compared to some other H6 stuff) instead of seeing the progress on a sculpture that less than half a percentage of the players will buy
edit: Ok, I admit it. I did not even bother looking at the update before I posted but it actually looks... awesome... and really cool... If it was in the collectors edition, I would have bought it.

I'm kind of worried about the beta. I kind of don't want to play the campaign if it has balance issues or bugs, but it will be really difficult to resist. Hopefully the ten maps they include will keep me busy for a while. Allowing us to use the map editor would be great.

I doubt that they would spoil the campaign.
I am under the impression that we are supposed to help with the balancing of the game so we are probably mainly going to test out the multiplayer feature (and VS AI).
Atleast when Starcraft 2 had beta, the campaign was locked.

I kinda hope the campaign will be locked. As said, I don't want to ruin it when it's buggy and I don't want (m)any spoilers.
But I'm not so certain we will get Beta Wendesday. The only thing so far that is certain is that we get a "Micheal in Progress" every week. Everything else has deviated from the schedule.

Yeah, that would be great if the campaign is locked. I had read some posts in other threads where people seemed to think it would be available, but it does make sense to keep it locked until release day.

Why would it be great?
If you don't want to spoil it do not play it.
Ubi won't hold a gun next to your head to make you play the campaign in beta.
And by the way beta IS NOT a demo or a trial, it is not about the customers' satisfaction, it is about testing the game elements. If they need some testing on campaign then they'll put it in the beta.
And why is it spoiling? Spoiling is something like I tell you the story of a game that you didn't play with and you don't want to hear the story. It has nothing to do with this situation. If you play the campaign in the beta it isn't anything like a spoiler.
Long story short: beta is not about your wishes, do not play it if you don't like the way it works.

Torrin, no one is saying Ubi is holding a gun to our heads. Many of us are extremely eager to play. It will be hard to resist, and if it's in an unfinished or buggy state it may not be as satisfying or challenging as it could be.

What worries me is so far..no Non Disclosure for the Beta testers. It would be hard to enforce this way, I understand that, but still..those who do try the beta shouldn't ruin it for the rest by giving out spoilers..

not to look like a snob but if u didnt pay $5 extra for a beta and bonus heroes then i guess its a punishment for not grasping the offer like the rest of us.
also when are they gonna release the orc and sanctuary artwork?

Well, in my case, I did want to grasp the offer, just it was impossibile for me to do so until yesterday. It's not always a fault to not buy something ASAP, you know.
Mmm, thinking about it, am I too late to buy the bonus heroes now?

Again: it is A BETA TEST. It is no t about YOU, it is about the GAME.
I can give you the ultimate advice: DO NOT download the beta. Beta testing doesn't fit for you, that's all but do not try to shape beta testing to your taste. The developer will decide what should be tested.
Or do you want to play the game in an "unfinished or buggy state" after the release? I hope not. That's why they make a beta testing.
Do you understand now? I really hope so...
