Artworks are (as always) amazing.
About "faction-colors". For me it's ok. Why? In our, reall world, especialy in the past: military forces used to use color schemes (Banners, uniforms) to be better organized on the battelfield.
Of course, toxic green necropolis isn't the best thing, but when we red about Namtaru's/Weaver's toxic it isn't so bad.

I agree with the colors,I didn't say anything against racial colors,in fact I like them. But the necropolis green is exaggerated,I understand some discret green lines or emblems on some white/black uniforms/armors,but it should be dark green, that glowing toxic green makes me sick.

To all Heroes III lovers, it's graphic's lovers: It wasn't so perfect, not everything was dark&gloomy. Heroes VI have similar, maybe more vivid, "heroic" style. I know that some units are overdone, but come on... Do you remember Fairy Dragons?
Every "HoMM"(or MM:H ) is another part of the best computer games saga in history. Every game is unique and we must cool with it, otherwise the saga will end as "a copy of the copy of "legendary" Heroes III". I loved it, but we must go on.

Wtf?Why Dark and gloomy? It's not Heroes of Darkness and Shadows.Only Necropolis,Dungeon and Inferno need dark atmosphere.Necropolis can also use white,Dungeon like in H3 could use some brownish-cavern color.

Heroes III was very good for that times,it had more success compared with Heroes VI until now.The graphics were very good for 1999,but H6 graphics are average for 2011,there is a 12 years difference.Yes H6 have now better graphics than H3,but can you compare a twelve year game graphics with a fresh game?

Well the Heroes series isn't Crysis, after all. You can't go overboard with stunning 3D graphics or your target audience won't be able to play the thing due to performance lag. (not talking about town screens)

Yes that was mad! Dark Messiah was a good FPS based on Might&Magic. They should make another one!

I think the graphics are fantastic and lush so not sure what you smoking but it's ruining your eyesight
I suppose the only thing is the resources on the map could be better done, they look too "placed" on the map and not part of the map....if you know what I mean....

And aren't most HOMM players more nerdy than Crysis players anyway, I think HOMM players have better computers aswel, as crysis attracts more soccer-folk, and homm games attract more computer/internet folk.

There was an uproar when people saw the recommended specs for H6 (which is basically a 4-5 years old computer). Most HoMM fans seemed to have computers that could barely run H5.

And you're totally wrong. The Crysis and other FPS-nerds are the ones having the strongest computer specs with the lastest fashion graphic cards, not the strategy players. Other than Starcraft II, I've not seen any strategy that required a powerful computer (and yet, Starcraft II runs well on old computers with low settings).

I wouldn't call it good myself, but I liked the part with the orc village on the cliffs and it had a better art style than this game at least. I was scared sh*tless when ordinary black knights turned out to be vampires (only instance of canned vampires I approve of, excluding maybe Blood Dragons).

Yeah I would contend that there are numerous examples of gaming companies specifically setting the computer requirements quite low so as to attract a wider range of audience.

Also the special abilities may seem many and cool to you, to me they are a bunch of copied abilities, 10.000 no retaliations with another name, 20.00000 strike and return moves with other names, all kinds of boosts and such boring stuff, really only few creatures have true unique moves.

Oh really that much?Well to bad I don't find them,I only find 4 abilities that prevent retaliation and/or let the creature return to its original position after the attack.
There are also some other copied skills, like dead flesh, liquid body and daughter of the sea,who all reduce might damage and I agree, that it is somehow stupid to give the same ability multiple names(even though it most likely done to give a rough explanation to why the creature has this ability).
But even if you don't count the copied abilities, there are still over 100 different abilities left, which is quite much if you keep in mind, that we only got 5 factions in this game.

That just doesn't make sense as every game-creator wants to make the game as beautiful as possible, you can see they tried very hard at this HOMM6 game, too bad they failed as they don't have the right skills yet, maybe in time they will gain them...

Every game these days wants perfect graphics, they don't care if your computer isn't ready for it, for them its money, not thoughts about someones possible too slow computer, they would say: buy a new one and you can always put all graphics on low...

First Blackhole is a developer, Ubisoft is a publisher. Ubisoft has demands and pays to Blackhole for the errand. Every company seek bigger market niche for their products. If they make a game with tough requirements, that niche will be narrowed because part of the fans will have to buy hardware. So it has to have balance between beauty and profit. For 8 years (since bought M&M brand) Ubisoft showed that plays safety. They don’t want to invest in bigger projects (I mean only for M&M brand) and thus engages small studios like Nival and Blackhole. And that is understandable because TBS is a dying genre. The younger fans prefer MMORPG’s. If you look more carefully to Blizzard’s projects, they don’t show some impressive graphic but good plots and/or varied gameplay.

Crysis is a game where you don't need to think, strategy games are all about good moves and intelligence, so I would say they are more for the nerdy people than games like crysis and halflife... games without much thinking needed, nerds love to think not brainlessly shoot people and aliens...

That does not mean that HOMM players have better PCs than “Crysis” ones.

Quote:
ALso I switch my PC every 3/4 years, I think more people should do that, everybody can spare a new PC in about 4 years me thinks.

If you change your PC every 3/4 years they ("Crysis") change CPUs and Video cards per 3/4 months. And yeah I know such people.

Also, a lot of HOMM players are a bit older than the Crysis playing folk, so most likely they have other priorities than blowing unnecessary amounts of money on overperformant hardware to play shiny games all day. M&M is an old franchise and their fans can be as old as 60 (and I bow to that)

Thats where you are wrong sister. Most games today require less thinking because everybody produces games for causal gaming.Go figure it yoru self.Heck, its even happening with Heroes.

PC's need to be changed  every year because the difference in performance is great, provided you have the funds.
However, that is not required,as devs focus more on consoles, software requirements lagg behind.

I was looking at the Beta Heroes Portreits Link Here

And I just have to Ask. How much did Ubisfot pay for this cheap and lousy work? I know doezend's of Small artists that would make a much better Job for a relatively normal price.

point 1: Many of theme are Copied from google
Point 2: All Humans. Why ? How? I Didin!t find a single Naga face and Two that looked At least a bit Orc like. AND ONE OF THEM IS A HEAVEN HERO (welcome back maximus)
Point 3: The rest that is not a Celebrity rip of is a remake of a prvius Hero (Nymus, Moander)

Does Ubisoft like to get Cheated that way? Ok the third point is Valid one. They are suppose to look like they did earlier but the rest...

These I like:
Azar, Ciele, Deleb, Javed, Kalindra, Luna, Malik,
Martina, Moander, Nymus, Rangi, and Tazar

The rest I dont.
And, surprise surprise, most of them are old heroes with little to no redesign.
