Well, without being very specific, I don't think it's reasonable to expect that all these "classic" creatures will return in H6. As Erwan said, at least 50% of the creatures are new/new-ish re-imaginings.
Of course, iconic units are bound to be back, but it's more likely the "spirit" of some creatures will be retained or amalgamated into other units.
I'm fairly sure the lineups are already decided upon at this point too (although of course suggestions can never hurt).

All very true but it is fun to speculate.

I would say Black Dragon, Titan, Archangel and Elven Hunter have become icons of the series, and I would hate to go without them.
Tottaly agreed.
The black dragon is THE dragon. any fantasy game must have a dragon.
The Titan is the dragon's archenemy.
The archangel is the symbol of all light, purity, faith and good things.
The elven hunter... just my favorite unit ever!
I would add the Dwarf (maybe as a faction, but without too many dwarven units, and with more 'monsters'), the Archer/Marskman - but actually is already known they are in -, the Meduse (i just loved the h3 one, the one from h4 was... strange..., and i was really sad it wasnt in H5), the minotaur (a true powerfull minotaur, not like the h5 slave...), the griffin, the centaur (again, not like the h5 one...) and the genie/djeen

Actually, you see griffins and black dragons in every standard dndish setting. If I were asked about dragon golems, thanes or venom spawn, however...

I have to agree with Alcibiades on this. The factions are what's most important to me, not the individual units. If the dev team decided to scrap all of the so-called "iconic" units, I wouldn't really mind as long as they keep the factions themselves mostly intact.
I would kind of miss the dragon(s) though. I really like dragons in general for some reason. (I was one of the few people who did not feel that there were "too many dragons" in H5)
(Then again, I haven't been a Heroes fan since the beginning, so perhaps my lack of nostalgia has something to do with it)

Well if they are gonna keep the faction theme straight then FFS let wizard/tower be snow again. Ok wasn't winter in H2 but for heaven's sake don't turn 180 deg and make it desert and ugly like in H5. H2 was not desert just some dry cliffs in temperate place. H3 with snow felt perfect.
I don't mind if Dungeon would go back from cave to evil gray old warlock castles like in H2, just get the snow away from some anime-wow like dark elves.

Eh, the native terrain of a faction isn't that important either really. I agree that snow fits a wizard faction quite well, but they were going for middle eastern inspirations with the H5 Academy, so desert was a logical step...a confusing one, yes, but justifiable if you think it out.
(H2 didn't even have native terrains, did it?)

The H5 Dark Elves are neither Anime (they lack the basic style requirements) nor WoW (as WoW has no Dark Elves).
They are in fact Warhammer Dark Elves up to and including their choice in mounts and enslaved beasts.
Yes I also wouldn't mind the towering dark spires of a proper castle/evil citadel back for Dungeon.
And what is it with you and snow?

Tastes. I found Heroes 5 Academy to be the best looking town of the all, and I know I'm not the only one with that oppinion. Sometimes you simply can't make everybody happy.

Anything that was set in previous Heroes can be forgotten. H5 is in a new world with new rules.
Also, like Alcibiades, I loved the desert setting. It's just a matter of tastes.
