It's being developed by 2 ppl but their efficiency is just incredible. There are no any terms announced and in this case I consider it to be rather a good sign than a bad one. Also the leader has constant problems with access to internet and this is again rather a good thing (I mean for efficiency: more time, lack of fresh pron - even more time and so on). And finally: as you can see it is already playable and the only reason why it's not released yet is that there are too many features authors want to implement.

Diak didn't remove the limit, he only enlarged monsters tables. Don't know about feanor. I'm not aware of anyone finding the place causing the limit besides Slava, but back when he stumbled upon it he haven't taken a note unfortunately. Here's the thing: somewhere in the code monster numbers are used as if they were 1 byte, so something will work incorrectly if monsters above 255 are used.
There's also a limit of heroes and that one can't be removed. New heroes can only replace existing ones, although this can be masked by replacing them cleverly.

Can you tell us whee we can download HotA? We are waiting on it for ages... Will it ever be released? I think that mod can have some errors, but the players won't complain on these. Please. We want realy play HotA.

you won't complain when the mod crashes randomly while loading maps, moving on adventure map, picking artifacts or in combat? (executable that leaked a year or two ago did so. I don't know anything about current stability though). I envy your patience then.

But think of it the more time passes the more is good
Take WOG for example sometimes it crashes for nothing
If we leave them some time we would get a great MOD
and anyway i'm waiting the most for the cathedral city

In first version it would be only Cove for sure.
But in next versions - who knows? One said that it's time for Stanford, but since there's not much done (AFAIK) it could be from what I understand everything.

Alas. I am starting to lose hope for this too. Infact, every time I see a Mod-in-progress, I am a bit skeptical as to its fate. And here I am wishing for a Cathedral town.
Atleast, if this will not be released, then someone do it justice!

The Cove town has been finished for over a year as far as I know. Graphics are ready to go, etc. If they were willing to release its assets to VCMI, you could probably play a working version tomorrow.

yeah...that's why i asked,the beta got out(for a short period)last summer.might i ask why are they not communicating with the vcmi team,if they can help them?(that if the hota team still didn t figured out a way to insert the town in game)
