Things which I hate about Heroes VI? There is still no RMG and no Town Screens. My patience has finally ran out and I've given up on it.

These are your problems? No eye candy and no bad map generator?
I would understand more the half newbish, unworking mechanizms. Why play a game repetivly when it is boaring even in its best state?

Officaly creating the "I HATE CREATURE POOL and TOWN CONVERSION" club....

1. Lack of depth in hero skills
2. Unbalanced factions

Pretty much this. I am not so big about stuff like "design" because in the context of the game, they usually makes sense and (more importantly) work. I think the differences in gameplay make the factions come together and *work*, in spite of the clear design flaws (Light Elementals in Haven, the THREE Water spirits in Sanctuary, the THREE offensive melee demons, etc)

The main issue, CLEARLY, is gameplay. I feel that main reason why one would want to play any pc game is because it is fun to do so. H6 is thoroughly average in that aspect.

The Gameplay so far, is repetitive (no one in their right mind would ever skip regen/life drain/enlightened/logistics unless one of these spells in unavailable) and this makes it boring after a while. This thanks to the imbalance between Hero Skills, some of which are NEEDED, some of which are absolutely useless.

Additionally, most battles are the same thing over again. The main goal is to avoid any losses, and it prompts players to play robotically and stretch battles to the absolute maximum in order to minimize losses as much as possible. And sometimes it doesn't work, ending the battle in a victory, but a frustrating one as you likely have taken avoidable losses. This isn't fun at all.

Balance is the other big issue. Haven, Stronghold and Sanctuary work and are fun to play with. Necropolis however is TOO easy at this moment: No losses and INSANE resistances to most elements. Mopping the floor with everyone is fun the first three times... after that, it just gets dull and tedious.  On the flip side, Inferno is MUCH too weak, and the Gating racial skill isn't configured properly (especially the gauge, which fills up WAY too slowly and irrationally)

This NEEDS to be fixed. It is not impossible, but it'll require some effort from production.

Agreed, Haven/Sanc/Orc work well.......it's Nec/Demon that needs fixing....

On the hero skills, it would have been cool having a left to right skill system (like H5) not tree system, and going further in depth:

eg:

Defense -> Vital -> Defense II -> Shield -> Defense III -> Dogdge

and not:

Defense
 «
Defense II
 «
Defense III

too simple.....this is what brings about monotonous vibe.....

What I hate in MM:H6 :
1. No town screens. I really don't care if loading town is half second or second long. They could just add option to disable animations. In HoMM5 it was perfect in my opinion. Towns were really amazing to watch how they develop. Town windows is not enough :<
2. Only 4 resources.
3. Copy-paste elementals into TWO TOWNS LINEUP. Seriously, is it so hard to come up with new creature? Copy-paste existing and just renaming it is very lame. VERY LAME.
4. I understand Haven is human town and is quite homogenous so we have melee human, ranged human, mage human. But Inferno? Right now we have: small humanoid demons, medium humanoid demons, large humanoid demons and female humanoid demons! Wooow its so innovative! =O Where are my Efreets... where are my Nightmares...
5. No Wyverns in stronghold. Small melee orcs and Big melee orcs :< Harpies and Centaurs in Stronghold are ok it gives diversity IMO. I would really like MINOTAURS instead of big melee orcs. Don't reply "Its now WoW n00b" I just want minotaurs to be slaves no more.
6. 99% of heroes are humans. EVEN IN SANCUARY!! "Orc" heroes looks like dark skinned humans. Demon heroes? Lol, all humans.

I agree and disagree with a lot said here. First off i love the way almost all the creatures look, ya some look the same but who cares? You can't expect the devolopers to make a fully original creature "every" time they make the next game! Second yes the Cerberi should have 3 heads at least! The Liches I really dont care how they look so long as they look cool (which they do!). Cyclopses? when haven't they looked demonic?as for the glories water spirits and ice women i think its a good change after all the elementals in the rpevious game looked like swirling elements which is kinda lame.

To the DEVs: WTF where are my Dark Elves!!!!!Where is my Black Dragon!!!!! probably the coolest faction ever i loved the dragon loved the darkness! if we are gonna see this faction in a later expansion please include more dark elf like monsters IE: giant worms, Giant spiders , and your general Black Dragon to round it off!

all in all i love the game (spells coulda used some work but a great game none the less)

then we come to the resources..... ya kinda messed up on that.... i personally loved having soo many resources at least you had to strategize on what to use when now its not soo tough with only 4 but w/e i can live with it

keep up the good work but please do your homework next time on what a mythical creature really looks like sometimes old and cliche is best!

well well where to start... i guess everything that i'll post is already mentioned but i need to get it out of my system

-no *useful* creture specializations! where's the "x creature will get a boost in Y attribute after level 15 when hero is leveling up" and the boost to an ability with the same mechanism????

-i want to see a skeleton hero, a spectre heroine, a lich hero, a harpy heroine, a ravager hero, a maniac hero, shark guard hero, yukki onna heroine and more diverse heroes! indeed orc heroes are so human like!!

-random leveling up. yes i went there! too boring because now EVERYONE goes for the same skills and there is no diversity with the current lack of specializations. the random leveling up system forces you to think and work with whatever comes your way!

-more neutrals?

-lack of replayability. campaigns are boring after a few times and custom maps are the campaign maps(!!!!!!)

-strike and not return is an activated ability! WHY????

you know that there are a skeleton hero and a ghost heroine?
Also I dunno how a Lich hero would look any different from your usual necro-magic-hero.

I agree however that it would be cool to see more diverse heroes who aren't human.

- I want more diverse heroes too.

- Having to choose between a few options is fun but I prefer the new skill system where you can get what you want and you will not be forced to waste skill points on useless skills. But I would like a more advanced skill tree.

- More neutrals is a must.

- Since I have been playing through all the campaign I wish I had the time to replay normal maps but not considering the campaigns, the game will become much more replayable once there are many more factions.

- It was great that they added some abilities as combat abilites like they did with abilities such as "strike and return" and "piercing bolt". Problem is though that the 1 turn cooldown unables the combat abilities to be used on morale bonus action. A simple "hold shift" would have been much more practical.

In a real game of heroes 6 gating is actually a pretty powerful racial ability, it's only in duels and games with less than 5 weeks of creatures that it becomes rubbish. I believe the more creatures you have in your army the more gague is filled every time a creature attacks with luck, and ofcourse the more creatures you have the larger amounts of gated troops you have. Not to mention the fact that in duels you have no artifacts, and inferno is a very artifact dependant faction, with their need for luck increasing artifacts, their mages needing magic power and mana increasing artifacts and their might heroes needing might defense artifacts. That said, they're still inferior to sanctuary and stronghold in nearly every way, but they can stand their own against haven and necropolis.

I think the factions are generally pretty balanced now. There is now faction that is super OP, like Necro used to be, or no faction that there's no point in playing, like pre-patches Inferno.

First game played, first one out, but yeah when i was tlaking about artifacts i had that map in mind

yes but only inferno's magic creatures retaliate with might damage. ALL the other magic creatures (ranged or not) retaliate with magic damage.
for no reason at all.

I like to think that it allows a might hero with centaur bow to turn lillims and broodmothers into strong melee attackers, because let's face it, lillims with no melee penalty become the best core troop in the game, and this is also the only way i can see broodmothers mobile shooter buff to be any good
