btw a note: Since a hero can allready have 10 perks per main skill, each main skill should get more than taht^^ we indeed got a lot to do

technical question: when boarding a ship, what shall happen:

Hero looses turn (like in former HoMMs)
OR
Hero looses movement points and gets a "reminder" (=you still can only change between land and water a certain times per turn
OR
Hero looses movement points
OR
Nothing

Hero loses a large amount of movement points, but not the whole turn.

OK now here are some suggestions for possible Basic Sub-Skills for Navigation (having no other sub-skills as prerequesite)

Sailing (Reduces the Influence of Difficult Waters/Currents)
OR
Buccanneer (Gives your units a huge starting bonus on initiative (they get a headstart in the first turn) when fighting on the sea)
OR
Broadside (When a battle on ships starts, the enemy gets a certain amount of damage distributed to all their troops)
OR
Boarding/better name (reduces the movement cost of changing from water to land and vice versa)
OR
Ship Fighting (gives a small stat bonus for your troops)
OR
Shipwright (reduces costs of ship building)

Yes for different ships
maybe 3 types: small, medium and large (1000 gold, 2500 gold and 5000 gold. each with more movement)

Let me specify: I think the two shall be counterweighted, so that you can have a faster ship which gives less battle bonus, or a slower ship that's more combat suited.

So 1 speed-based, one battle-based and one medium type of ships?

Now...You can choose or invent one more basic  Sub-Skill for Navigation, or postpone this.
