I'd prefer agnosticism, but sure, let's go with atheism.

@avirosb:
not sure how a whole faction can be agnostic...also, I face the problem now, that I had forgotten: we have a "Dwarven Priest" unit...I think that sounds illogical with atheistic faction...however, the choice was yours, avi, you may decide, wether the dwarves stay atheistic (=priest is only a traditional title), become some kind of agnostic (with the priests being a believing caste, mostly) or take over a religion...

meanwhile, we'll allready determine which faction come after this., next faction?

well, now it IS "him"

and what about his main character (as it is believed)? What is HE like?

lovefull father - forgiving, mankind-loving, "kind" father; salvation-based
OR
stict father - also patriarchic, but stricter, expecting obedience; rule-based
OR
vengefull, egocentric god - "an eye for an eye...", expecting obedience and strong worship; Purge&suffer-based
OR
attention-sunner - wishing for everyone to believe only in him, warning from the evil heresy; convert-based
OR
evil tyrant - this creator is...mean. But what other choice have people than to follow the one god, bad as he may be? Fear-based

note: if you wish, you can combine 2  of these...though evil tyrant and lovefull father should not be the combo of choice

*innocent look* does this guy remind me of someone?

well now, let's come to some side-aspects of their belief. You can choose 0-3

Saints - historical figures declared saint after death, for different reasons, usually when having done something seen as very "worthy"
OR
Prophets - historical figures who are believed to have heard and spoken the word of The Creator to the world
OR
Word and Sword - though a loving father to those who believe in him, the creator has no problem with coming to the "infidels" with fire and blade, facing them with the decision: Believe or Die

How about this: Dwarves are largely agnostic, meaning they aren't sure if a divine being really exists, nor do they really care.
Dwarves were introduced to religion via other races, and while not religious per se,
dwarves are curiously enough a very superstituous people,
and thus felt it nescessary to include "by whatever guides us" and "by the powers that may be (I dunno)" in normal-day conversation,
just to "ward off" anything omnipotent or just to wish each other good fortune.

Dwarven priests are "earthly guides" whose jobs are to meddle in other dwarves' affairs.
They have conducted a "morality codex" that contains everything from "which swear-words to use when minors are present",
to "personal beard hygiene 101".
They also act as judges within the dwarven juridical system.

@avi: sounds very nice (and the large part fits VERY well since upgraded dwarven priests ARE named - Judge )

@liz: believe in hell and heaven will come...

Now...about hierarchy in this religion...

is there a central religious leader? (like the pope in christianity, f.e.)

No
OR
Yes, but only a representative figure
OR
Yes, and with actual control over the clergy
OR
Yes, and it is also the worldly leader of the faction (or of the biggest nation of this faction)

ay.^^

so, how is the hierarchy in it?

1 leading organ (council or such)
OR
regional departments lead/administrate themselves (maybe a council comes into function if a "global" decision is absolutely unavoidable)
