here is the translated version of the article
The author mentions about playing the game in september, so I assume that the article was written before the delay news. That whole line has nothing to do with the delay. The "confirmation" part might as well be referring to the "improvement of the game after the release date" shtick Ubi gave us officially. Nothing new, we already know that one day we will get other town screens.

To be honest, I like the old town screens, and I like the new ones =)
I've heard, that the animated pictures are only in Beta, in full version there will be town screens. We must be patient and ready for changes.

Sometimes I wonder if children should be the ones making the decisions. Simply put, this is outrageously stupid. You wouldn't make a call of duty game without bullets or Zelda game without shops to walk into. So why would you do this to Heroes? It's taking a major staple away from the game without any real thought behind it.

I'm satisfied with the assumption that they're working on it. I have heard no confirmation that they actually are working on it, but I have to assume that they're not so ignorant as to simply leave the town windows as they are (even if they don't bring back town screens, the current layout needs to be improved). We know they won't be in the release, or at least we assume that's the case based on what we've heard, but I suspect that we'll see a patch at some point that will remedy the situation.
And at that point, maybe, I'll buy the game.

Since I very much doubt making new town screens is in the works, I'd like to know from users who have poked around inside the game files if it would be possible to include fan made town screens.

Well, as far as I know, noone out here has been poking around in the game files yet, except maybe for Eugen Xaar. But I heared he's getting the pictures from editor and not the game files, so maybe not even him. So far we know exactly nothing about moddability and Heroes VI file structure so it's hard to tell. If someone finds the way to open the beta's .orc files, please let me know. Also, many people here, possibly with greater skill in modding, have stated that they're definetly going to try making such mod.

Check out the credits, there were quite a few companies involved. I think there were 2 for art and another Romanian one responsible for testing.
