I believe the missing resources (mercury, sulphur & gems) will show up along with additional factions in the expansions. I.e. a 'dungeon' faction will likely introduce sulphur to the game and an 'academy' type brings the gems. Just a hunch.

I kind of hope you're right.  However, it wouldn't be good to have resources that most factions have no need for.

yeah, but they are still not too bad compared to some other creatures. for example the ghoul, it just has abilities which increases attack, defense and speed. a bit like the H4 zombies. ability : toughness : this creature has many hit points for a level 1 creature...

vengeance abilities are already taken by cerberus and pit lord by the way. though, the harpies could have a harassment ability, they give some malus to their target if they decide to stay near it.

Very unlikely in my optics - unfortunately. They specfically omitted the other rare ressources because they felt it would make balancing easier and game more competitive.

I feel it has had exactly the opposite effect - much less strategy because all buildings cost the same ressources, and ironically less competitive, because Crystal far from seems to be the limiting factor (at least on Broken Aliances).

It would be nice if they introduced at least one more ressource to bring back the aspect of prioritizing your ressouces for different buildings.

Actually they made themselves a death trap because if they make the crystals rarer, the Cores will become even more dominant than they already are and if they don't, the things remain as you said. So it's a lose-lose scenario. They've got themselves to blame for this though. Frankly the game does have some potential to compensate for such losses but it has to be used completely.

That would require too much changes in game engine.

In beta I saw week of constructs which doubles growth of construct creatures. Which are these construct creatures? Are these supposed to be golems, ballistas, ...?

I doubt it is much work. the worst would be having to change costs for most buildings. apart from that, making 3 new models and adding 3 new entries in the resources database. what else? but yeah, for ubihole, I guess it's an unbearable task

It's more than that. You must make UI fitting, which means you must again redistribute icons, making new mines, change AI, rebalance everything since the extra resources would be used already by existing races to not make certain resources useless.

And about constructs no news?

yeah, don't give them excuses. they can use almost the same models for most mines. changing an interface isn't actually a lot of work, the harder is probably to create the icons...

I don't think you need to change anything in the AI.

I have a little bit of experience in programming, and what takes the most times for professionnal programmers isn't the programmation at all. no, most of the time it's just the godamn customer paying them who actually has no clues about what he wants or is just unable to explain properly.

I didn't notice any warmachine. Furthermore, if there are, probably they would be like in herus 4 as separate unit, otherwise growth wouldn't make sense. Making stuff for expansion already isn't a good idea. And why you night error hate dwarves so much, yes in H5 they were a snow version of barbarian faction, but a race with more mechanical stuff it would be nice to have.

Yeah I'm afraid there are no warmachines this time. I would actually like some steampunk or at the very least not another variation of dwarves in the lineup.

Why not give the dwarves a Baneblade as a warmachine?

If people get picky, there are other variations aswell.

Really,a town full of dwarves is boring, even for me(a big fan of dwarves and norse mythology).
Dwarves need not to be based on fire, but on stone, ice and lightning.

These abilities are stupid beyond comprehension.
H4 had those, yeah. Behemoth had the same - this creature deals more damage in combat. Why not just give him more dmg???
