Explosion in Oslo
There has been an explosion in Oslo. Some are calling it an attack. In what is suspected to be a related incident, a man disguised as a police officer started firing on people attending a Labour party conference at Utoya.

Sweden had its first terrorist during the yule/christmas rush in december, in the middle of the capital Stockholm. If he had succeeded, hundreds of people would have died.
But in Norway it actually happened. A few people did die, many were wounded and many government buildings got damaged.
Apparently, evidence points towards that it was a car bomb and likely an islamic extremist again.
At the same time some madman is shooting teenagers at the norwegian Youth Social Democrats on a summer island. :/
It kind of suprises me that while both Sweden (who lets hundreds of thousands middle-eastern etc immigrants live here) and Norway have had terrorists attacks, Denmark has not.
I thought Denmark would be the first target because Jyllandsposten posted those "comical" Muhammed drawings (though the guy who made them, Lars Vilks, is a swede so that explains why we were attacked) and all that.
Of course, I love Denmark and hope that they will not suffer this.
All the Nordic countries are very close siblings and friends, so if I was an american I would probably say that I would be "praying" for Norway.

Corribus: There is a big population of muslim immigrants in the Nordic countries (well, mostly in Norway and Sweden which are the ones that have received the attacks) and when the artist Lars Vilks made some Muhammed drawings were he was compared to a dog and newspapers all over northern Europe were publishing them, many of these people got REALLY OFFENDED and it was really serious business. Years later, it still has not been forgotten and Lars Vilks is still being threatened all the time and there are some YouTube videos where he has recorded some phone calls.
Also atleast the swedish suicide bomber mentioned Lars Vilks so I am not pulling out some "nazi propaganda" here.

They suspect this guy may be involved somehow but there is little proof of anything as I understand it.

There's been terrorists plots foiled in or around Oslo prior to this also. As far as cities goes, it's more leery of this kind of stuff than what you might initially think. Lots of quickly-processed immigrants, and IIRC Norway is the most active among the Nordic countries in the M.E., which gives some angry belligerent dude an extra emo rage-boost to attempt this sort of thing.

But there was also a shooting in a summer camp and that seems really out of place

Correction: First Islam-related terrorist, which is the only reason media covered it so much.

Lol, mention any other terrorist in Sweden that could potentially kill so many people?
Also people should know that the Nordic countries are in Afghanistan and sometimes fight together and a lot of these people do not like that that we join "The United States' war on muslims"

But yeah I mean, everyone knows that terrorism is only REAL if it involves brown people. This is swedish terror-culture we're talking about, totally different.
EDIT: I like how you seem to assume that it's automatically islam-related terrorists that are involved with this btw... it seems more like right-wing fanatics to me... considering the targets and everything.

See how the media twists things now then...? Sweden has had MANY terrorists before... but like I said... they don't seem to count them as terrorists unless they're of middle-eastern origin.

I love how you say that the media are nazis and twist things around about stuff from 40 to 100 years ago.
Yes, that is very relevant with the modern conflicts we have in the world today.
I would be suprised if you found it odd or even wrong (considering what has been going on in the world for the last 10 years) that people assumed that the terrorist group (?) was of middle-eastern origin. 9/10 people probably thought that.
And we still do not know about the motives and if they have jihadist connections. That's still to early to talk about.
Also there seems to be more than one person involved in this.
It suprises me that you think that the media twists things around here when my view is the media here twists things around to make our immigration and integration politics sound reasonable (which it isn't in my opinion).
But this thread is not about that, and I don't want to go more off-topic about that.

I just can't see how you can still go "OMG FIRST TERRORIST" when you know of all the other terrorist acts that have occured in our country, all of them being way worse than the idiot that fell over his own bomb last year.

But IF he would have succeeded, and that was very close, than HUNDREDS of people would have died and I am sure that you would not have said the same thing.
And I say "OMG TERRORIST" like 95% of all other people since terrorism is associated with jihadism today and naturally, that is the first thing you think about then. Especially when you like me, were born in a time when the "war against terror" started and we have had stuff like 9/11 etc. Of course events like that have affected the reputation of the majority of muslims who are not extremists in a very negative way (which is unfortunate).

After three hours of news I can now tell you guys what really happened 
A 32 year old man of Norwegian origin shot and killed at least 10 children (12+ years) and the numbers are expected to rise as they keep searching. Several more are injured.
Earlier the same day a bomb exploded in Oslo just beside government buildings where the Statsminister (head of government) worked. They do not know the target of the bomb as of yet but at least 7 are confirmed dead, numbers may rise as they search the disaster area.
They do not know who is behind except the 32 year old man, but they will exclude nothing.
I will post more once I know more myself
(A friend of mine was actually on the island where the people were shot, luckily he managed to get away)

Wait... he KILLED 10 teenagers? Last report I heard (which admittedly dates a few hours back) said only TWO teenagers were injured, without any kills.
This is sad (and disturbing) regardless though.
