Well... kinda? He said he'd be happy to do it! Does it get any better? Judging form his response, I don't think that those five are his at all... if he really composed them, would he forget about them altogether? Anyway, I suggest you send him those five just in case, but other than that, forget about them and focus on getting him to compose a new one if he can manage.
LOL at the modding comunity being "half-dead", but such things are better left unsaid  You'll ruin what little initiative they do have

In the last 12 months, more projects came out than in the last 10 years, it is far from being half dead.

Anyways, I send him another e-mail (which contained the dubious 5 soundtracks - but given the e-mail in which he confirmed the tracks being his work having very similar writing style or however you call it, he might've just forgotten about them).
Also, you can always call "half-dead" "half-alive" instead.
I dunno.
All I know is that another e-mail is due in relatively short order. (despite me having to wait 3 weeks for the first response, and a further week to realize it)

Actually there is a hell of bugs. I just don't get them all after a hour-two.
How you check it?
1) index of icons for creatures and for heroes is the same (from 300 on...) It's very very bad. Use different indexs for you fraction. For example, town icon index from 53000, creatures index from 53100 and heroes index from 53200
2) There are a lot of misspellings in name of abilities, and syntax errors.
I use this online tool for checking jsons:
http://jsonlint.com/
Just open json in Notepad, Ctrl+A, then Ctrl-V info form, and press Validate. And fix error until there is a green colour.

I actually didn't. I'm not the tester, just artist, and I'm not really into VCMI technical aspects.

It was based on Preserve, so that's probably why. It definitely would be changed in the future if there were any further versions. Now it's just for fun.
