Depends if the net is weighted or not. If not weighted..yes they are better. Of course weighted nets have their own problems..but unweighted nets are far worse. I will let you decide if the current net he has is weighted or not, as the cost won't really matter.

Your plans to keep the other nations out of Merick were bust a LONG time ago, you just didn't know it. An entire kingdom, with not enough people to gather up a battalion..yeah..without military allies Merick will be conquered within a year. Other nations are starting to get wind that near everybody and everything were wiped out..and they are not just going to let land sit empty..for long. Nations are pretty much always squabbling over land..won't take long before they realize 'hey free land!'
It was the Father, no sibilings. As for booze, etc...not much in town (ie things not found in nature) survived..but there are plenty of natural things around. Any druid, ranger, or somebody who spends a lot of time in the wild would be able to dig up something. *grins*
