I was busy trying out many different games and disliking most of them in the first quarter of the year. Then discovered KB and that took away my spring. New Vegas (which surprisingly noone suggested) took away my summer and I grew bored of it and left it unfinished. And my whole fall was waiting for H6 to come out while playing D2 again and again. And when it came out I stopped playing it after a while to wait for the patch. So I ended up not playing Deus and Skyrim, which are in my wishlist. Of course SSF4 AE is an "any time game" for me now which I've been playing since Vanilla but can't vote for it as its an expansion. I didn't like Witcher 1 so didn' try Witcher 2. Portal 2 was great, even greater than its predecessor. Dragon Age 2 was good but cannot even be compared to DA . And I haven't played Crysis 2 as Crysis 1 made me mad by having a 2 hours of gameplay or so.
So my vote goes to Portal 2.

I'd say POKER! But heey, that ain't 2011.
Add one more to Skyrim tho. Why? Blame Nvidia for not fixing issues with their 295 gtx's so that Witcher can run normally. And Skyrim rocks: as close to my favorite Gothic series as possible.

i want to give another vote to seriouse sam 3. as for skyrim its good but not good enought  DA2 was also good,but DA was much better. althought longer...

But based on sexy commercials, glowing reviews and game scenes, I'm going to have to go with Skyrim.

Seriously Gnomes?
What are you doing in your life? At least I have played Portal 2 and Skyrim.
I really recommend you play them, they are such fantastic games for very different reasons.

I'm not ruling Witcher 2 out, but haven't played it yet, my heart was really set for Heroes 6 at the time  .

If Skyrim wouldn't be so bloody bugged it'd take the lead but alas, when you snow up a game so bad you don't deserve it.
Overall this was a year of disappointments.
Duke Nukem failed.
Alice Madness Returns failed.
Dragon Age 2 failed.
Skyrim and Heroes 6 failed due to bugs.

After playin on New Vegas for quite some time, my tolerancy for bugs has greatly increased. So long as I don't get welded into walls (or creatures welding into them) and the game doesn't crash every few minuites, then I'm generally happy.
So far on the 360 the only bugs I have encountered tend to be texture oriented and a few animation ones, nothing ruinous though. (my blade keeps turning bright gold for some-reason, unequipting it and re-equipting it, solves this)

Skyrim too bugged to be enjoyed?
Really where are that much bugs? You really cannot compare Heroes 6 and Skyrim in the bug-aspect, there are whole worlds in between!
And just out of curiosity, what's so good about Witcher 2?
EDIT Only stupid bug is game crashing like one time in 2-3 hours. -and for info i'm playin with version 1.1... on the pc.

Just about everything which isn't combat-related. And the combat itself isn't bad, it just get pretty repetitive after a while. If you like the combat in Skyrim though, you wouldn't notice - the Elder's Scrolls approach to removing the hostiles from your way has always been among the most straight-forward ones.
