The Great Cheese RPG contest!
Ladies, gentlemen, and Adrius!
It is time for another Bard's Glade contest. This time, I want people to create an RPG based on *drum roll* CHEESE! That's right: cheese. Cheese shall be the basis of your RPGs. Why cheese? Why not cheese? It can be used in any way, shape, form, emotion; whatever you want.
All you need to do is:
1) Name your RPG.
2) State your premise.
3) Create a setting.
4) Fill it with characters.
5) Place it in this thread.
Somehow, Cheese must be prevalent. I don't care how. I'd give examples but mine are so awesome you would be intimidated by their cheesiness. The possibilities are only limited by your knowledge and appreciation for cheese!
The contest will end on February 1, 2012. That's 23 days from now and 10 months, 11 days from Doomsday. It will be judged by fiancee, provided she is willing to do it. A star of red shall be awarded to the winner.

I decided on a different approach. Any RPG that gets too crazy on the cheese theme will never last. So i decided on something subtle, with a hint of cheese. But as you immerse yourself in the crust of this rpg you may find more cheese than expected...
Lord Of Spam
The lord of spam has been corrupting the land of Riverwood for years. By using his Blue Vein Staff of Overwhelming Mold, The lord of spam is able to turn those who stand against him into cheese. Those turned into cheese become his cheese minions. Its up to you to put an end to the Lord of Spam.
The setting is Riverwood. Its a vast land filled with open fields and valleys. Small rivers and tributaries fill the north, while the south is filled with mountains as far as the eye can see. Dense forests are scattered throughout the lands but there is much uncharted territory to be discovered...
Lord of Spam: It is said he rose to power by challenging and defeating the leader of a large mercenary camp somewhere in the southwest region on Riverwood. Its assumed all the mercenaries were promptly turned to cheese. It is assumed his lair is still based in that area. It is currently unknown where he obtained the Blue Vein Staff of Overwhelming Mold.
Players can make their characters using this format.

What I mean by premise is what the rpg is about.
For example:
My game is about Sir Goulda of the Swiss Army and his quest to defeat the evil Marquis Gruyère. That is my premise.

The Cheese of Destiny
Premise:
Rumours arise that the legendary Cheese of Destiny, made from the milk of the Divine Cow, has been found in the faraway land of Molke. Now forces of all kinds gather to obtain the cheese, which is said to obtain inbelievable powers (as well as tasting quite delicious).
Setting:
A more or less medieval fantasy setting in a world which needs no specific name. Classes are sometimes adapteed to the theme of the contest.
Characters
-Pantalon Parmesane, High Priest and leader of the Parmians, decides to try and get the cheese, most valuable relic of his religion, himself. Class: Parmesan Priest
-Mary Mozarella, Oldest Daughter of Amozaronian Queen, wants to impress her mother, by bringing her the Cheese of destiny. Class: Mozarella Mage
-Fetarion, the mysterious evil Fizard of the South, has his own, sinister plans with the Cheese of Destiny, which definitely include world domination, naturally. Class: Black Fizard
Players travel in the retinue of Pantalon Parmesane, but will meet the other mentioned characters eventually.

Setting:
The Far Future. After an unprecedented holocaust, France has finally managed to conquer the world thanks to an incredibly advanced biological weapon with an incredibly simple concept - the Great Stench Generator. Using various types of the most offensive French cheeses as a fuel for the weapon and taking advantage of the Frenchmen’s natural immunity to their great punch, the nation that once bred great minds and great ideas is now a symbol of oppression in a devastated, dying world. People live in huge, overpopulated Fortified Brothels, surrounded by vast wastelands full of vicious mutated vegetations, animals and – if the rumors are true – Germans. The population is divided into three categories: Speakers of The True Language who are 100% French; Barking Ones, composing more than 98% of the world’s population and including people who either don’t know The True Language or can’t speak it clearly; Albion Devils – renegades and outlaws living outside the Fortified Brothels and hunted fanatically by The Cheese Inquisition – their most distinctive feature (and their greatest curse when inquisitorial agents are around) is their irresistible urge to drink tea at 5 o’clock no matter what.
Life is simple, short and joyless – people wake up early in the morning, go to work in the enormous cheese factories where they produce thousands of types of cheese under the constant and ruthless supervision of genetically augmented superintendents and run back home before the start of the police hour. Cheese is everything in the far future. Cheese is sustenance, cheese is currency, cheese is weapon. The Great Stench Generator works without a break, spreading brainwashing gases in the atmosphere and ensuring the eternal dominance of the Speakers of The True Language. The few that can resist its influence are hunted down by The Cheese Inquisition, headed by the mysterious and – if the rumors are true – immortal Jean-Claude. The free-willed survivors of the state terror flee into the wastelands, just to be devoured by the cheese-mutants or to mutate themselves. Hope is considered a weakness, dreaming of a different world – madness.
Protagonist:
You are Brother Robespierre, junior officer from The Deep Cheese, the secret counter-terrorist branch of The Cheese Inquisition. Born Speaker of The True Language, son of an influential military cheese industrialist, you are raised as a highly skilled and fanatical defender of the status quo, sworn enemy of the degenerates who try to sabotage the cheese production, spread vile propaganda and attempt to undermine the foundations of global state and its rightful rulers.
Your superiors send you to spy on Roxana Fyodorovna, the sister of the executive director of a medium-sized cheese-producing plant in Saint-Tropez Minor. Unconfirmed information claims that she has relations with The Sorrowful One, a semi-legendary figure which according to The Inquisition is the agent name of Otto Römer, an infiltrated Sturmbannführer from the Wasteland Wehrmacht with the status of State Corrupter (one of the highest terrorist ranks according to The Inquisition’s classification). Your first task is to create a detailed report about Roxana’s activities and subsequently to present your own conclusion about the grim rumors surrounding her.
Stats:
Health: measures the character’s overall physical condition and includes various factors like the amount of damage taken, number of healed, semi-healed and open injuries, number of limbs present at any moment and so on. If the character’s Health drops below certain critical limit, he might suffer various afflictions – some of them permanent (like DNA-to-CNA (Cheesyribonucleic acid) metamorphosis)) – which are otherwise unlikely to affect him.
Indoctrination: measures the character’s faith in one or more of the predominating ideologies. High indoctrination makes switching sides impossible but gives access to extra abilities available to the favoured ideology while low indoctrination makes more interaction and relationship options available but provides no faction-specific bonuses.
Cheese Resistance: measures the character’s ability to deflect or reduce the damage from cheese-based attacks. Attacks from powerful weapons like the Cheezefier require high amount of Cheese Resistance to keep the character on his (human) feet.
Cheesematurgy: measures the character’s ability to manipulate the essence of TheYellow Spirit which exists deep in the fabric of the world as a result of the constant work of the Great Stench Generator. Skilled Cheesematurgists can create weapons out of thin cheesy air, adept ones are known to make the cheese alive and send it against their enemies and the masters of the art can literally turn the world around them into cheese.
Unlockable abilities:
La Marseillaise – requires level 5 character. Allows you to recruit members of The Speakers of the True Language for the purposes of your missions and use them as you find suitable. Some skilled, influential or generally powerful Speakers require additional requirements to be met – like a high level of certain Indoctrination type.
Sacrebleu! – requires level 10 character. A powerful battle cry which changes the morale of friends and foes alike in a random manner, making them more determined to fight or retreat. The results are truly unpredictable but tend to be in your favour in a predictable situation when you are facing certain death anyway.
Mon Dieu! – requires level 15 character. Allows you to influence and eventually even change the Indoctrination type of neutral characters. Could lead to unpleasant things if resisted.
Le fromage - c'est moi! – requires level 20 character. Allows you to control between 1 and 5 creatures in the vicinity which have at least 10% CNA genes.

Monster Hunter: Dairy Edition:
Set in an alternate reality of the 17th century in central and eastern Europe, a darkness has arisen in the land, brought about through unknown origins. Werewolves, ghosts, vampires, and above all, monstrous demons plague the land, sometimes hiding within the shell of powerful and respected humans. Reichstag VII, a wealthy prince within the Holy Roman Empire has been secretly assigned by the emperor to investigate what these monsters want, and how to foil them. At the right hand of the prince are his band of diversely-skilled and capable field agents. They are at the forefront of the emperor's investigation, which is said to be supported by a host of different monarchs.
But it will take more than just garlic to defeat your foes. The demons, serving at the head of the impending darkness, are vulnerable to cheese. It is said that milk is the true water of life, as it is the first thing a baby drinks after it leaves its mother's womb. It nourishes us and allows us to grow. Its inherently supernatural qualities against demonkind are most effective when formulated into cheese, and can be potentially strengthened through various different ingredients. You have at your disposal mozzarella, cheddar, feta, parmesan, and various other culinary weapons with which to defeat your foes.
At the beginning of the RPG, you have just been informed by the prince that a brilliant chef in the northern Papal States has successfully patented a variety of new cheeses to aid in your campaign. You must make swift journey to the chef, as it is highly possible that the demon underground network has caught wind of this rumor themselves. In a race against time, the chef and his servants are experimenting with new and exotic ingredients brought back from commissioned explorer ships. Though the explorer's official mandate is to find gold, slaves, and land, they are in truth under orders from the monarchs to acquire a variety of new plants, animals, and ingredients that can be used to amplify different varieties of cheeses. Assist them with their mission however you can, and most of all, protect them. Danger almost certainly awaits you, both from the monsters and from corrupt flesh-and-blood humans. Prepare yourselves, and trust nobody. This is a game of politics, intrigue, and exploration.
