After more than a month without news, I almost forgot how purple is this expansion
An improve invisibility? Well, at least it's changed from Haven special...

Quote: There's also damage reduction if an enemy unit bumps on your invisible units and 'accidentally' attacks them.
So it's similar to H5 in that unit get's revealed after being 'bumped'?
Dungeon racial: Shroud of Malassa
Player may choose one of his units, hide it from the opponent and increase its damage dealing potential, making it a powerful force to strike from the shadows and take out important enemy assets.
Hmmm I always thought it was Invisibility!

Yeah, I'm in love with it! It's design that is
And it looks like (some other guy said that after a SoD presentation on PAX) Dungeon is weak first tier, hard hitting (and probably expensive) upper tiers type of faction (wonder about the balance).
I suppose racial is not a big surprise. Wonder what it's ultimate form is: damage boost, bonus initiative/movement, or maybe something else?
I wonder about the (hinted) rest of neutrals (or one "classic" neutral if I remember correctly). Are we in for a surprise or not?
On a side note, it's a shame that Academy won't probably make it into Heroes VI...

So true.
I would like to believe that Ubisoft could change that in the future, but I too much they won't change it, at least significantly

You never know, there could be a 2nd expansion...
With the racial, we only know it triggers invisibility and damage of unit.
I am wondering if, when invisible, a unit's attack has no retaliation...

The no-retaliation effect of an invisible unit's attack is, if you think about it, the MAIN PURPOSE of it.
Also, when considering, what is filling the gauge: attacks that cannot be retaliated.

I'm thinking the opposite of Honor: The less targets You attack/the less retals You suffer, the more the gauge grows?

No, Honor needs you to attack as many DIFFERENT targets as possible.
Malassa's Veil or whatever it's called now, needs you to make attacks that cannot be retaliated for whatever reason, including ranged attacks which makes it rather convenient, that you have 2 ranged core units plus a melee walker starting a battle invisible.

So not only the shooters that have no retaliation, but so do the minotaurs as their special!
It does seem strange though that you use the gauge to fill the gauge....if Invisibility gives no retaliation and then no retaliation fills the gauge....
@JJ -> That's why I asked if Invisibility gives no retaliation....to me the main purpose of it is not no retal, but to manoeuvre into the enemy's troops and block shooters or use other strategies like prolonging troops when using destructive warlock (speaking from H5)

It simply encourages you to attack a single unit, cause it cannot retaliate more then once (not counting hero abilities or special unit abilities of course). An opposite of Honor

The racial makes me wonder about Dark Elven idea of "honor". First some pale (and purple) wimpy guys in hoods gang up on (for instance) a pacifistic Vestal. If things go out of hand, like a bit of a "real" warrior shows up, all they do is run crying behind Minotaur backs to protect themselves. Talk about your typical bullies

No, you are missing the big picture, and the others who talk about "being encouraged to attack the same target" miss it as well.
a) Faceless have no retaliation anyway, so that's a unit that will fill the gauge no matter what.
b) Assassins start the battle invisible, so their first attack will fill the gauge.
c) ranged troops fill the gauge.
d) all remaining troops have a no-retal special attack (that comes with a cooldown, but you don't want "gauge overkill" either)
e) The gauge gives you a chance to hand out a no-retal attack -> helping to fill the gauge.
(Btw, Stalker upgrade has no-melee-penalty).
So the bottom line is, that you can steer things quite well and don't need to attack the same target to fill the gauge, since you have enough ways to fill it.
And, no, the main purpose is not to move unseen, because moving to block sacrifices a no-retal attack. Also, since you need to fill the gauge with attacks - hero doesn't count - invisibility as a means to play destructive Warlock is quite limited.
