one quick question: (and don't judge lol)

I renamed the file once I downloaded it, and it seems to erase the new updated patch.  How can I get it to overlap and add to it?

Many thanks Fred! I still think you should affix the old files, it takes minutes and will save the hundreds of hours, that people like me spent polishing their maps. In case when someone desparetely needs old Fred's patch combined with new one, send me a PM

Yes! Yes! I truly don't know if it'll take you minutes or longer, but I surely don't know how to combine them both.  An artist is their own worst critic, but to the public, their original works of art are still masterpieces.

That's ok!

And if you PM Uhm the combined object patches, can you also make it public?

Sent you a PM. I won't make it public if Fredd wants to keep a new version free of older/unfitting/worse elements. It's his work.

i guess i could make an "unofficial" compilation patch just for whoever wants to keep the old with the new... that is, if i can just copy and paste the content in the old text file over to the new(should work, but we'll see. i already know i can drag and drop the stuff in the old .pac). if it doesn't, know that i'm not typing up 1,800 mostly replaced and obsolete objects in a text file, after i just got done doing 4,000+. no way, jose.

i'll get back to you two after i give it a go. better cross your fingers that it'll work just fine.

@ fanofheroes and uhm: the compilation version. rename it to just "FREDOBJ", and install.

lol, i'll bet it's better than your version, uhm. jk.

TO EVERYONE ELSE: DO NOT USE THIS VERSION UNLESS YOU WANT TO KEEP THE OLD OBJECTS FOR YOUR MAPS. THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL VERSION.

it's cool. i was only angry for a couple minutes. and yeah, i tested the patch to make sure it worked correctly before releasing it. i actually used the latest patch upload by mistake first(with the fredxxxx naming convention), and had to find the oldest one to mix that one with the current.

Hi Fred79! I want to ask you if your mod contains objects from any of this mods: Composed Objects or NPC Mod or New Objects Patch Mod or Heroes 2 Objects Mod or Hota Objects Mod or Ultima Objects Mod or Wog Graphics Beta Mod? I have your mod and all this mod active and i want to know if i must to disable one or more of it not to have duplicate objects. I observe in the editor that some objects are duplicated.
After i activate your mod and i enter in map editor, at section Grass Objects it show me some sprites not found (gmsdmn010.def - gmsdmn019.def) and in the section Treasures another missing def (f_000ad9.def).

It makes no sense to have all those graphical mods active in mod manager, unless someone makes a map with. And even then, he probably will release map with mod tied to, not separate.

i have objects that originated from all kinds of sources on the internet. yes to all on that list, i think? of all the errors on your list(in the second paragraph), those aren't a part of my patch. everything in my patch has a certain naming convention, and the object names with issues you're having aren't from my patch. being that the frames from my objects might be of the same name as those in the other object patches you have activated(and because i can't identify the objects by name in your other patches): you need to find the objects from your other patches by the names giving you errors, then find the versions from my patch that match those graphically, and give me the names of my objects that may be causing the error, so i can rename their frames so that they do not conflict(if that is indeed the issue here). if you have that error because of frame names, others will too, and i'd rather fix that than have more people with the same issue reporting in about it.

thanks for your help. i want my patch to be absolutely compatible with everything out there.

@ bes: not sure what you mean, but i will check it out.
