quick question, people: would it be worth it to you all to have the remaining images(which are just images, and not anything you could actually use unless you want to cut the content out with photoshop or something) in this thread removed, so that i could share vastly improved(and new) content with you all later?
would ANY of you see that as a risk, if you could no longer see some minor images, but you could vastly benefit from content later on that just might knock your socks off? take some time considering the implications of what i'm saying. you all know most of what i plan on adding to homm3 and sharing here...
what if those ideas all became more than just ideas or plans, but actual content that you could use in your games?

Images should stay. It's part of your modding history and somewhat - a diary. Everyone needs to learn that first steps could be tough but patience with progress do miracles!

the images are like the bible: old. the art contained therein, as in the case of the bible, needs an update. something new and improved. which is what'll be coming later, because i will become a professional, instead of just an elaborate hack.
but possibly not, if any remaining images link me to anything incriminating here. i guess that's a gamble that some will take. i wouldn't. what i will be capable of in the future, will make what i have shared thus far, look amatuerish by comparison. take a look at my progress from my old thread, to this one. that progress was just using time and an old version of photoshop; no professional training was contained in any of that.
now, with professional training, and the tools to make whatever i desire to be a reality... my ever-expanding to-do list for homm3 will be able to come to fruition, and much better than previously displayed. ALL of what i plan, will be a neat reality; and not just a hack job using old tools.
what i mean is, it will be a reality for me. it will be a reality for everyone here as well, as long as the remaining images(that i cannot delete and that cor won't allow deleted) doesn't make any negative impact whatsoever on my professional future. dig?

I can't see how it could? You have homm3 modding in your CV.

I'm getting the impression it's not the pictures that you have a problem with (in fact, any artist reflects back on old work just to see how progress has been and how far they got), but rather the somewhat luscious and gross posts you sometimes tend to make? And since those have been going on for years now, the effort to track 'm all and delete them is far greater than to delete the pictures that might link to those posts? At least, that's what I am getting from what you're saying.

exactly put, maurice. the screenshots aren't the actual problem, but how they could be linked to some of my posts that some people might not see as something worthwhile in an employee or as a student attending their college.
@ galaad: what's CV?

@ galaad: what's CV?
CV = Curriculum Vitae; basically a summation of all the education and jobs you had, thereby detailed the skills and knowledge you have. Potential future employers are usually interested in them .

I really doubt people are going to dig up the posts you made in some gaming forum fred.
I am not sure I understand your quick question btw.

galaad, your question is answered in posts after the question i initially posed. i explained it as clear as i could.
and, hopefully. but i don't know what trouble people go to dig up dirt on future employees or whatever. i can see everything getting pretty competitive in the future; much moreso than now.

just wanted to let everyone know that i'm working on compiling my latest work in another patch release update(i want to have it released before i go to college). as far as a changelog goes, there's really too many things to specify; so sadly most people won't see much differences where i made them, to existing work. but at least the newest stuff will be noticeable.

just got done changing out some mushrooms. i don't remember what all i've done since my last release, so i'm going through the columns on my editor, and searching for anything i think wasn't included or hasn't been swapped out yet. once everything is compiled, i can rename everything and start adding it to the new release.
@ galaad: i hope so. it'd be a shame if new work wasn't noticed somewhere. i don't even know what all i've worked on; i'm just adding everything questionable.
--------
edit 2: ok, by last count, i have 329 353 defs left to add or replace. i think i'm done compiling.

almost done renaming everything. i may not be done by the time i leave, as i'm behind on everything else i need to get done as well. getting the goddamn VA(with their websites and daredevil flaming hoops) to get snow in order so that i can have everything squared away for college is like putting electric-cart-bound walmarters through the eye of a snowing needle. the past two days have been a wash; i got almost nothing done other than working here and there on the patch. which is bad, since i have a laundry list of things i'm supposed to be doing. oh well, i've always been a last minute kind of guy anyway. i need concern in order to be motivated.
--------
edit: done renaming everything. if i don't get the patch done, i can at least pass it off to someone else and have them do it(so everyone can have the stuff earlier than 3+ years from now ). anyone feel up to it if i don't get the update completed by the time i leave? you'll only have to add 326 defs, as the other 90 are just replacements. the 326 objects+creatures+resource just need added to fredobj.txt to make another upload.

223 items left to add to the upload. should be finished/released by thursday at the latest.
edit: huh. that didn't take as long as i expected. i'm actually done. waiting on the upload to finish now, so i can post the link.
edit 2: still trying. keep getting connectivity errors during upload, making it start over again. i think it's on the 12th try or something. ffs.
edit 3: it's about damn time. FREDOBJ 1.1 (297 new defs, not including the creatures[check the readme], many others replaced/improved)
could a mod post the latest link(or ask val to) on the op, please?

I like a lot, especially the additions to snow objects, much needed. Also the tons of new terrains open vast perspectives. Now, you must find someone still interested in designing Era maps, I see majority of mapmakers switched to hota.
