oh, you meant size. i gotcha. i think their size is fine as-is. remember, none of the map objects in homm3 are to scale; but more like an icon of what they actually are. i probably put too much thinking into size as it is, now.
----------

i've redone 5 dwellings for dungeon now(levels 1 - 5), using homm3hd graphics. i'm slowly replacing the worst-looking dwellings; i'll eventually replace all of them, if needed(some the hota team did are already better, i think).

thanks. did you notice the "message in a bottle" at the bottom left(i renamed the ocean bottle because i made them for land too)?

i just got done adding an ayssid egg. these are what my creature eggs look like so far(they still have to be scripted; atm they work under pandora's boxes, where you "open" the egg after you fight possible guard "parent(s)", and receive one creature of that type):

I am very sorry that I did not reply to this earlier but I did not see your post until now,
I will have a look again in the particular texts if you want but basically IIRC there is next to nothing about this, one of the only relevant pieces I think is a flavour text which says "Dark and Light Elven dealings have been peaceable, if uneasy, for centuries. Before that there was nothing but war" lol

I will also give a list of the monsters if you want, albeit bear in mind there are not really any good images of the MM9 monsters online AFAIK so it would only be their names cheers lol

Thank you. This explains some things. My feeling is that MM Dark Elves are not like D&D Dark Elves. For me they look more like Loretta Fliese and the druids from MM6. Dark Dwarves looks to me more mechanically-minded as typical D&D Dwarves or the Red Dwarves from HMM4. My idea of new fractions evolved to 17 new towns (developed to alpha stage without the programing and graphics) plus the Forge which makes them 18. That's why I am interested about the lore and specifically about those two races.

If you look into the links for MM museum given by AncientDruids you can find full list of MM9 monsters with images (you just need to click on their names).
MM9 Monsters

Unfortunately their is no origin information about MM9 monsters. In fact I am interested only by Sea Monster, Terror, Thrall and Dagrell.

so it's not just me. they worked fine before(and from what i see, ALL the pics i posted in this thread are now gone); i don't know what happened. the hosting site is still up. maybe they had to wipe the history, because the picture cache was too large? these picture-storing websites are snow. i'm not going back to imageshack, either.

No idea what's happening, that sure sucks.
Btw I now only use imgur, the sole image hosting website that didn't betray me insofar.

I use imageshack premium, 19$/year, thats about 1 euro/month, fair. Once you create threads depending on images, you should buy some subscription.

Or you can open a page for your mod in moddb.com. That preserves the images like forever and doesn't require any sort of payment.

imgur and imageshack i used before, and both have disappointed me(imageshack in particular, because i had an account before they started that "pay to play" snow; and it's slow as HELL loading images to boot, which is intolerable). imgur, for some reason, made it more difficult to load/share images; where before the process was much more streamlined and workable. and, it doesn't always work for me, which is why i ended up using postimages after they got their snow(however temporarily) together.

i'll check into moddb. thanks for the suggestions.

reuploaded the op screens. i decided not to use moddb, since i may run into copyright issues with that site. i'll stick with postimages for now, and if everything goes back down again in the near future, i'll find something else.

reuploaded some of the later screens i posted, that i had kept as desktops. what wasn't reuploaded, i didn't have backups of.
------------
currently working on odds and ends while i wait to hear back from bersy on the era issue. just did a lot of work on one of my old treasure chests, and made it worthwhile to keep. also, i removed the flag(and fixed the entrance) from the original nomad dwelling and made multiple colors, for fortune teller tents.  1.3 is up to 919 objects atm.
------------
replaced my old rocklands terrain patches, and fixed the god-awful battle screen i had made previously; using the new versions. also been working on my campaign maps.
------------
just replaced two sets of cave floors, and added another set.
------------
after working on the MoP bag, i worked on the endless purse of gold.
...
reskinned the endless purse of gold after working on it some more, and will likely do the same to the endless bag/sack of gold.

also fixed the spacing on 3 of the original reefs, so that their shadows appear properly in-game. i tweaked the old dungeon homes again, too. a week or so back i improved the animation of the ocean version of the sea serpents; not sure if i mentioned that(also did a lot of work on an old treasure chest and re-added it to my lineup). lol, this'll be a log thread(not the 4chan kind, tho) until i have something substantial enough to make a screen for.
---------
*************
i've been largely inactive on modding for a while(only working on a couple things here and there since april 27th due to being sick and having an increasingly demanding social life). i'm been working mainly on my first campaign map(the most incomplete one), and doing odds and ends here and there as i filled in largely blank areas. i reworked my overrun swamp dragon utopia(scaled back the undergrowth/overgrowth and made the utopia itself more pronounced), and a few other things i don't remember atm. i'm going to make some new reef overlays using the existing mermaid reef(i'm going to add shells to it, since i've been fixing all the reefs to display the correct shadows in-game). so far, there are 3 reefs and the ocean bottle that will be part of my patch, though named appropriately to replace the misspaced original defs(so they'll replace the flawed original versions, and won't actually be a part of my add-on work).

did work on 5 seashells(2 new shells, 1 new starfish, 2 existing shells). i'm going to make sure i have all the best seashells in my lod(and available for the new reefs), before i start on them. atm i'm replacing and fixing weak graphics. the new batch are looking leagues better than the old.

worked on 11 shells total. all of the weaker shell graphics are gone.
--------
i realize all this journal-entry stuff can be rather boring and tedious to read, so i put together a small screen to show my latest shell work:

i just grabbed a bunch more shells online, and am currently hunting down polished and colorful stones for the beaches.
