Hey there. Beautiful stuff!

Hey I don't mean to be a pest, but does your patch work with Hota?

Thank you

not that i'm aware of, but i'm sure it's possible if you tweak a couple things. that said, i don't know how you'd do the object descriptions for HotA; as i haven't found where that's located. probably the HotA.hlp file that i don't know how to edit.

i added some dead standing tree graphics that better fit the coniferous forests; helping to thin out the over-abundance of logs, and making the logs themselves seem more natural(they gotta fall from somewhere, right?). i also added 38 cut trees(fresh and old, as the stumps leave something to be desired), to help add to the atmosphere. i have yet to add mangrove shoots for swamps, as that's another thing on my to-add list.

The images do not load for me. I reccomend using abload.de, more trusted than postimg

All images load just fine, the problem must be on your end.

reworked the beaches for Nighon, using rough terrain trees(that i still have to replace) mixed with dead trees and a less gentle ground; keeping with the theme i'm going for for the island. also planning on adding fog for the two new grass patches, as well as fogged versions of logs/rocks/trees/mountains to match(like i did with the Fear terrain). the more i fill the map, the more i create what i need(and fix what i find that needs fixing). and the more i create and refine, the more i see a reskin of the 3rd campaign map, so it stays up to par with the quality i'm using for the Nighon map. which means, pushing the release of the campaign further out.

an updated beach:

besides the above, i've worked on fixing issues with log graphics(and added more, with still more to add), added more single-cell bushes(with more to add), and tweaked/fixed some bone graphics for carcasses that i'm going to add into a sideline quest. i'm going back and updating all the screens i posted with the current work, so feel free to peruse them again if you want to see the improvements.

WoG didn't come with seagulls. They were ripped from Disciples2 and added as standalone defs.

i'm having to darken the tops of all 50+ deciduous trees(and their clusters) as they don't stand out enough from the ground.

...a project i'll have to put in the "for later" pile, as it's too intrusive atm to complete(there are a lot of trees that need tweaking, and if i tweak these, i have to tweak all the rest to match).

i don't suppose anyone has any easier way to extract all frames from a gif with over 250 frames? when i open it in ps to extract it, i'm only getting 57 total frames out of it(that even appear). and when i open it in Gimp, i'm not seeing an easier way to extract all the frames at once(and i can't seem to isolate them either, as the viewer only ever shows the same frame on import and seems incapable of changing the frame viewed, whatsoever).

If all you need is extracting the frames, you could try some online tool. This one for instance allows to save the frames as PNG. Afer you upload the GIF, it will have a "Split options:" box where you can choose to save as PNG.

On Linux I have a small command line program gif2png that does exactly what the name implies. If you want, you can give me the gifs and I'll try it on them.

Edit: I found a command line tool that will work on Windows too. I've written a small batch file that will make it very easy to use. Install the program from here, download my batch file from here, put the batch file in the same folder as the GIF(s) and double click it. If everything goes right, it should extract all the frames as PNGs.

i converted all the png's to bmp's and made them useable as creature frames. building a test def now. as soon as i work out the kinks, i'll upload it here(barring the creator's permission). i don't think this one was ever released as a def. it was a creature created by axolotl, so if anyone wants to contact him and have him hit me up beforehand, i'll make sure it's ok for release. i wouldn't see why not, myself.
