Yay game of thrones conversion mod for Warband has just been patched, (fixing most of the annoying bugs I hope) time to pway that and reduce the Twins into a smouldering ruin.
Edit: The patch required me to download the whole game again, like wtf -.-

Season 1 of this show was great.
Season 2 and 3 are sloppily written, s***ty versions of GRRM's characters doing things during events which vaguely resemble the events of Clash of Kings and Storm of Swords.
I guess if you don't consider the source material it's OK.
By the way the Redd wedding was way more dramatic in the books, largely due to Robb being not that much of a retard as he was in the show.
Read the books, they are 1000 times better.

Books are generally better. But to me, season 1 of the show was just as good as the book.

Read up on house Bolton out of curiosity, what I found was a little disturbing (at first) but the GoT universe wouldn't be complete without 'texas chainsaw massacre' practitioners.

The violins were so sexy
Just finished watching Mhysa ends pretty ****, had expected Danny to be killed by the mob but o'well.
The four sexiest peeps this episode had to have been Tywin Lannister and little Arya with Sandor Gelgane, and some Bolton to spice things up (the father not the moronic whelp of a son). Sandor and Tywin have been consistently my favourite characters this season.
Jon Snow does what Jon Snow does best, and paid for it. (hopefully with his life)

Tywin and Joffrey having a little powerstruggle at the small council was just awesome. The brat has nothing on him

Quote: Which Supernatural even will end the franchise this year? This show has Patterns: ep9 is usually a huge event, ep10 had dragons and white walkers, so what will be the seasonal cliffhanger this time?
Turns out it wasn't a pattern, just coincidence. 2 times in a row is never enough, I should have known.

Wonderful to see all the people who read the books taking the concerns of those that haven't into consideration and dropped the discussion on the books in a thread about the series.
And the few that have have made it blatantly obvious with ever so tiny and insignificant *spoilers* that are about as apparent in a post as a ninja on a sunny field in the mountains.
Good job all around people.
EDIT:
Yeah it's not like this thread has been around for 4 days courtesy of our friendly neighborhood mvass, where people can freely talk about all spoilers to their hearts content without the potential of ruining this wonderful series for the heathen non-bookers.

Michelle Fairley and Richard Madden are good actors, too bad their characters weren't that great.

So I decided to watch the red wedding, just to see how well it was done. My reaction can be summarized in the following way.
That attention to detail was just a little... unnecessary.

Quote: Why? I thought it was a worthy portrayal.
Because it just seemed a little... over the top. Even in the book I was like, "Do you really need to go into that much detail? And Martin was all like "YES. YES I DO. MUAHAHAHAHAHA." And between the book and the show, I didn't really find anything missing. They got basically every bloody little detail, and destroyed my feels in one fell swoop. Well played, Martin. Well played.

Sweeping through forums, fb and youtube comments I've identified a large quantity of individuals that viewed Robb Stark as a protagonist. ima say what I said to them: this isn't a black and white battle of good versus evil; this is a game of thrones. Those who do not know how to play are removed with relative ease, Jon Arryn, Eddard Stark and of course the pup wolf are notable figures who were inapt at playing the game.

The belly-stabbing was unnecessary, everything else was sorta OK. I imagined it'd be a shade more bloody though.

The only part of Season 3 I watched was the Red Wedding, just to see how they did it. And then I saw Lady Talisa (ugh, she's not supposed to exist) and Catelyn killing Walder Frey's wife (it was supposed to be his son!) and I remembered why I don't watch the show.
