Last Jackpot I've played, I was 239 TELO with Crag Hack, and didn't have time to play more so I ended up with Tier 2 reward.

He is definitely good, but you have to play him quite a lot so you could learn from your past positioning mistakes etc. And luck is huge factor with Crag, starting hand and enemy hero and their starting hand.

I have played him alot, in fact I rely on Crag in Swiss's and inching towards the 25 swiss win achievement. It's just that you say luck is a huge factor with Crag, but you can't rely on luck in a jackpot...so can one really get to T1 on luck?

I don't really think Crag is as luck based as y'all think.  But that could be just my 2c.  I had back to back jackpot t1's with him, a 10-0 achievement in jackpot and 33 game and 21 game win streaks with him.  You don't get those kind of results solely from lucky draws.

If I was to play a serious tournament Crag would actually be my #1 deck choice I think.

That is true, but when I say luck, I don't mean just my starting hand, but also opponents starting hands and events.

I have a games where I won while having only Harpy as my early creature, but the enemy was overwhelmed with Tainted Orcs and Vulture Riders later in the game. And I had games where I played 3(!!!) Dark Assassins against Sandalphon, and do you know what he got in his starting hand? 2 Holy Pratorians(out of 2, they aren't using more of them in Sandal deck...), and of course, he destroyed my after he took 4 damage...

Skill is also a factor, I am laughing every time I read someone mentions how Crag Hack is stupidly easy deck to play and how it requires no skill at all, clearly showing that they haven't played with him more than in a few games.

Still, I would probably pick Dhamiria if we are talking about serious tournament.

I am playing Uraxor's Cassie atm It has interesting gameplay and is not easy to grasp at first but it is a very rewarding experience and it's apparently pretty good.

What would your deck be?

@Elvin: Don't need much skill for Crag, apart from lane choice

Tourneys these days are multiple deck options.  So I would choose Crag, Cass Fortune and i'm not sure about the 3rd maybe Sandalphon.

I mean what would your Crag deck consist of (to make it so wonderful )?

News from Space Elephant:

- Our design and art teams are also very busy working on the next expansion! We can’t say much for the moment, but this expansion will feature new stuff that you guys requested for a while as well as new cards, with totally new, unexpected “creatures”… I know it’s illegal teasing but you will understand shortly  Stay tuned, more news are coming PRETTY SOON !!
- New platforms are also coming back on the table. Expect news about this before the end of 2013…

Your results seem to disagree when compared to EvilNuff's. Even seemingly simple decks have fine details that can make all the difference and what may seem obvious to you may have more depth to someone who knows it better.

I have played fortune decks a lot in the past but I am pretty sure I cannot match uraxor's consistent T1 results with Cass. Player skill aside, I have simply not practiced with this deck enough to 'make it mine'. And so seems the case with you and Crag.

hehehe xD

@Elvin
I'd recommend trying LQDBrunt's version of Cassa with Treasurers.

@DD
Crag Hack is T1 deck, one of the best currently. Meloooon's won a JP with the hero. When i was learning Cassa i watched and rewatched tournament plays a couple of times trying to understand details of their play. Also remember that trying to get to T1 takes usually a lot of games (unless you have 100% winrate). You need to win 9-10 games more than lose. e.g.: 20-10 means 67% winrate and 30 games.

everything i know imm trying to put on forum thread or in my overview.

http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/802049-Fortune-Cassandra-Rush-(T1)-Overview

Anyhow
LQDbrunt's Cassa with CT: http://www.mmdoc.net/show_deck/16211/
my version with CT: http://tools.mmdocking.com/decks/show/43 (i just prefer Watchmen with WoT and also i dont think it's finished b/c i feel a lack of 3-drops).

I asked LQDbrunt 4 replays but he will do it ltr apparently.

You can watch VampFury stream - he played a lot of Cassa with Treasurers and Wastelands: http://www.twitch.tv/vampfury/b/475590194

Yeah, I am using Melooooon's Crag deck as well.
Anyway, getting nicely to the 25 swiss wins (21 at moment) with Crag so going well.
When it comes to Jackpot I am glad others get to T1 with him, I don't see it, but it's cool...when I finish swiss wins, giong to go for a Ignatius void lock deck, just something different. I am not sure though that it might take too long to get the special going...

For the future of DoC:
I think they should get rid of the following heroes:
Ishuma, Sandal, Cass, Dhamiria and Crag.
We are seeing too many of them and we need some variety now.
In the swiss's alone, it's at least 3 ishuma's every time...

Not to get rid of them, but to nerf them in some way or to buff other heroes.

To be honest, you know that something is wrong when two decks that were among the best last expansion, are among the best this expansion too(Sandalphon and Dhamiria), and there are barely any additions to those decks. Ok, Sandalphon has Anael, Homebound winds and Cosmic Singularity, but Dhamiria plays almost the same, maybe Hikyu and Garden of Ecstasy, but they aren't really needed.

EDIT:

Awesome news!

Finally, the update is coming. I may start playing my Necro decks again in Swiss.
Ohhh the delicious tears of Ammar players, I can just imagine them.

And I must say that Gate to Nowhere doesn't sound nearly as bad as it was, it may actually be quite playable now.

Card Balance Updates:
- Ammar, the Cunning's ability can now only trigger once per turn.
- Strength of the Sea resource cost was increased from 3 to 4, and its magic requirement was increased from 3 to 4.
- Gate to Nowhere resource cost was decreased from 4 to 3, and its magic requirement was decreased from 4 to 3.

Fantastic!
Gate to Nowhere update literally "came out of nowhere" here!
Wonder if people will use it now, don't think so!

Actually, I think that they will play it. It costs 3 resources and has 3 magic requirement, pretty low requirement if you ask me, and card is quite solid.

I don't think that it will be dead card in some decks, and I can see quite a few heroes using it.
Arianna, Nergal, Garant, Phrias, Myranda.

I don't have to be right, but it really doesn't look half as bad.

I think of Gate to Nowhere as a deterrent for the opponent to place creatures in that row, rather than banish an existing creature after it attacks. Anyway, I wish it had ability similar to ambush, cos opponents will just move creatures out the way instead of losing them...
