There are (very coplicated ways) for Android phones like running a full fledged GNU/Linux distribution with funtctinal X server / Wayland server + Wine.

But it's pointless anyway. The UI isn't made for touch interaction and doesn't scale for small screens. I couldn't think of a reason why I would want to play H3 on a mobile. Despite my relatively young age I'm an oldschool guy, I barely use my smartphone and prefer a laptop/desktop for almost everything (maybe a phone with a "real OS" like the Purism phone could change this?).
Because of this I have never tried the Android VCMI. Maybe there's a HotA mod?

HotA is compatible with ExaGear, which can run on most Android smartphones, but as far as I can remember ExaGear has recently been pulled from Google Play, though there might now be other ways to get it, idk.

While we will very likely find out around the end of the year, I had a bit of a thought on how Factory might fit in the world, in origin but also literally where in the world Factory is centred (like Cove is Regna, Necropolis is Deyja, Stronghold is Krewlod, etc.). Factory isn't the Forge, but it does seem to have a bit of a 'different take on the Forge' to it... so what if it is a different take on NWC's Forge in the sense of 'town emerging from the events of MM7'?

With the Forge, that meant a town of replicated Ancient technology roughly grafted on top of a Deyjan foundation and bent on world conquest. With the canon shifted from MM7's evil ending to its good, the evil Terrans are reduced in number, undermined by failure and lacking a Heavenly Forge to equip their forces, so hardly able to establish the Forge, but the good Terrans maintain their full number, has access to a helpful source of information and through the Gateweb access to other worlds. That means they could be in a position to help uplift parts of Enroth in a more sustained, long-term fashion (the Factory appears to be more advanced than other Enrothians, well below the Ancient technology of the Forge but far more integrated into its society and understood by its members than the Forge), and gather refugees to their side (being close to wizards and not that far from Eofol, halflings is not a stretch, especially as their allies in Harmondale are right next to Eofol and had a portal between Harmondale and a region of Eofol for at least some time), and they were centred above the Bracada Desert (which could be represented as Wasteland).
Good Terrans might sound like a Good town, unlike the starting-isolationist Neutral town we've heard Factory is, but there might have been a drift in purpose from Resurrectra's intentions, or a long-term plan going on (one terminated by the Reckoning, as much as I wish that could be retconned or time-travelled out. The Reckoning is the main blocker for a lore-working SF-based town in Heroes 3 expansion).

TL/DR: A theory that Factory follows up on MM7 and is based in a desert in the south of Antagarich shown in MM7 but not Heroes 3.

Ok so today i decided to install HotA at clean install of HoMM 3 Complete from GoG. Till now i was running on HD mod and and SoD_SP plugin, being honest i love it! those features as upgrading army or recruit of all units at once ... just perfect!


HD mod allows you to upgrade unit by pressing [A]+ LMB on unit. Is it possible to turn ON this option in HotA 1.5.4 ?
Im running HotA HD.exe

I have the newest update installed and now Galthran is available for necropolis.

Galthran should be available in ROE, AB and SOD custom maps and Jebus Cross. So if you're talking about those, it's not a bug.

Based on screen message, you guys are not using same version. You with 1.5.4 and the host guys with 1.5.4e.

Install same version before is able to play

Start "HotA_launcher.exe" so both you and your friend have to select or not the "Activate trial updates" option.

Question for HotA Crew:
Besides the upcoming Factory town, including their heroes, are you considering adding other new heroes? I mean you made replacement heroes for land-based maps, with Beatrice, Kinkeria and Derek. Would you perhaps consider other replacement heroes like for the 3 Diplomacy heroes or the 3 Logistics specialists?
Was there also something about changing some of the existing heroes, like some of the very similar Planeswalkers?

I have questions for hota developpers; is there possibility to have in the future, gates that need one specific secondary skill to be passed?

I would like very much to be able to put riddles in some places of the map; i discovered that it was possible in WOG. Could we have that one day in HotA?

With the new town Wild West themed town coming in HotA, maybe Archery should be renamed into Marksmanship or something similar? The only real archers in the game are elves and sharpshooters; Castle "archers" use crossbows and other units use firearms/magic/throwing weapons.

Yeah, that's what the game is about. Taking decisions and adapt to circumstances. 10 skill slots will take much of the game's richness and will cancel out distinctions between different heroes.

If you only want to play with a perfect built, why don't use cheats?

A better idea is revamping the garbage skills (Learning, First Aid, Eagle Eye, Sorcery).

I really wish this was a possibility as well or at least give us the Market of Time already.
If you want to limit the usefulness of Market of Time a bit, it could be impossible to remove starting skills and/or a skill a hero specialises in.
