Well, that's why I said the guide is unconventional. It teaches you to get better by yourself, but it is almost completely independant of the knowledge of the creator. This guide teaches you to get hunt a fish(and get better at it) in place of giving you one. In this case, the fish in question is general knowledge, experience and whatnot in Dota. You probably won't understand until you read it yourself, though.

So I opened a smurf account to see what noobs are like nowadays... SPOILER: If you've heard about 500 MMR stories, well, it's worse
Just check this out:
Ursa went afk, so the whole team left(except me of course. The reason I picked Sven was that I could 'solo' with him )
Ursa came back, but by then, the 3 others abandoned. But I was happy since that meant a good bit of gold to us. Then I started farming. Some time later, I started hunting and pecking on some of the enemy heroes. And gradually, I became an unstoppable hero, a force to be reckoned with. As soon as the enemy team hears the BKB and ultimate sound effects they would **** their pants and mash the panic button. Sadly, I couldn't get a rampage(I did get an ultra kill though )
By the time I got the rapier, they couldn't kill me. I didn't lose it, not even once. The ungodly amounts of damage from the Rapier, combined with the bonus from my ultimate, was awesome. Worse comes to worst, I could always hit the Satanic button. From my rough estimations it would be about 1.5k lifesteal per hit, provided I had my ult on.
After the match, this became my play style on the profile:

So I've been watching the Shanghai Majors (or what I could when not lagged/offline ) and I can't believe Sven (my fav hero) is picked a lot now & winning, even sometimes against Nature's Prophet or Winter Wyvern on enemy team, and item build order is now very much a formula: treads, HotD, S&Y, Blink, BKB, with next being either moonshard/crit/AC
I saw him picked & lose in many pro games few months before (with the old item build), so I wonder how the change happened?
edit:
& I can't believe Valve CEO Gabe called 2GD an ass https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/47sc46/update_from_the_shanghai_major/ {I do agree his hosting was not TI standard, using C-word, F-word, non-family friendly poor jokes}

James's hosting was great, he was entertaining and made up for the production team's failures. His firing was a travesty. He made some off-color jokes, but that's how he is and that's what the fans want.

And you must already know the secret, Stevie: Secret won. ^^
I was almost expecting MVP to win after the first matches, but then, they didn't. Liquid also showed some promise match after match.
Well, these pub matches are rather odd to play lately. There's some great discrepancy happening every now and then. Sometimes it looks like your whole team just started playing Dota, while the other side feels like 5-6k. And then the opposite. A really balanced match is getting rarer to get. Rat doto is also getting more and more frequent.
Also rather irritated to see people complaining even before the first pick is made. Overall education is lacking simply everywhere and playing a game without muting someone is becoming a luxury. People are so brave and bold behind a screen and thousand of Kms.

Anyone watching Dotapit? NaVi just beat Secret, the Shanghai champions. Admittedly Secret weren't playing at their best, but it's still exciting.
Is NaVi back?

Doubt it, I mean they are playing a lot better than before but they are not championship material yet. They are making a lot of unforced mistakes, General has small hero pool and is getting caught a lot.
Secret didn't play that bad in game 3, but their draft was horrendous and there wasn't much that they could've done.
If you pick Spectre you usually should pick mid hero that has good gank potential and can create a lot of spaces for Spectre to farm. They've picked OD, that also needs a lot of farm to be useful at all. On top of that, they have gone for heroes like Chen and Abaddon(as offlaner) that need farm as well and don't bring much aggression to the lineup while Na`Vi literally had 5 gankers.
Secret didn't have enough disables, almost had no AoE at all, didn't have a single spell or item that would counter BKB so Dendi and Ditya-Ra were wrecking havoc, draft was just really bad.

For some reason, my rat Anti-Mage plan always works(Farm farm farm --> stay away from danger --> farm again --> do some split pushes --> farm enemy jungle --> help your team in 1-2 teamfights --> split-push to victory).
And obviously, it wasn't a ranked game. Just messing around. Wanted to get some kills at the end, but everyone kept running away and camping their fountain .

Here you go, some ranked games with no leavers today:
There's also this one, but in this one CM left and then broodmother left for some reason. CM came back a while later.
3 or 2 of my deaths were because of Lifestealer's Blademail, and to his ability to miraculously activate RIGHT before I attack, I just said "screw this" and got a Satanic.
Now, the reason I did 4(there was one I didn't include) Anti-Mage games in a single day, was to test some new farming patterns and habits I got used to after I watching a 6.7k MMR stream. And with my new-found habit of constantly farming, I'd get no less than about 230+ last hits each game I carry. I'm really grateful to that stream right now

Another look at people who think they can play carry but farm like a turtle caught red handed
I mean, just, just look at that Sven, man. A carry who feeds 13 kills to the enemy... I have nothing against you playing Doto, but playing CARRY is out of the question...
Also have to laugh at how he has a TP scroll and boots of travel... Like, what... I don't even... Why...
Now, Lich looks like a feeder and stuff, but he really just didn't have time to farm. He had to handle all of the teamfights while I was farming with my Battlefury till I get to a point where teamfighting is comfortable AND profitable(most of the time it's when I get the Yasha and Vladimir Offering, straight after my 15 minute Battlefury)
And Lich was also a good support in lane too...
Anyways, scratch that, there was one point where I was 6 levels above Sven. SIX. BLOODY. LEVELS.
It's really hard to farm that slow without trying, like, you gotta admire him for it guys...
The only threat to me on the enemy team was the combo of Lifestealer and Riki(his smokescreen is really, really, really annoying). Mad Clinkz with a lot of DPS and an Orchid? Nothing Manta can't solve.
Now, I actually kind of question my pick of Heart of Tarrasque, I mean, on one hand, it did save me a lot of times since I was tanky enough to survive their DPS(which led to me killing them shortly after recovering), but wouldn't a Butterfly work too? I mean, Flutter your way out of smokescreens, evade 35% of the attacks, and lifesteal the bonus damage from Butterfly. I hate getting Heart on AM because it really limits your damage output compared to what I usually do(which is getting Butterfly as the last item).
Anyways, Match ID is 2258682872 if you wanna check it yourself or watch or whatever.
But man, I really wanted to report that Sven Really, a carry with 190 last hits in a 50 minute match... Getting carried can only get you so far
EDIT: Just saw this on Dotabuff
