It's the Belt of Giant Strength that I want.

Plus, I decided to put the full 7 into a skill. If you didn't replace the horrible hp roll of mine, I may have sent some to hp. Not likely all though.

It lasts until you take the belt off, basically... I have no idea why it's written like that, though.

@Alkar
I've seen several "thrown" feats while searching for ranged ones. Just ctrl+F the feat page.

@gnomes
Do you have a ready public sheet on mythweavers I can look at?

And a question:
Besides the +1hp/+1skill point for each level of favored class (skill point in my case), I can take the alternate option - 1/2 level towards the judgement checks. Since Judgements usually increase every three levels at this point it would add me +2 power. Is it worth it?

And a follow-up question:
If I become a half-orc instead of a dwarf and choose the WIS bonus, I will lose the CON bonus and the CHA penalty (useless anyway), but my alternate Favored Class bonus will be +1/2 to Intimidate checks and Knowledge checks to identify creatures. And it might prove for more interesting roleplay.

Is one of the options (bonus skill points, bonus to judgement, bonus to intimidate and knowledge checks) clearly better than the rest?

Is making a metal item mithral worthwhile? It says it counts as silver for the purpose of damage reduction, so I was considering making my sword mithral...but is there any benefit (for a paladin) in using it in my armor too or should I save my gold for a nice enchant?

Mithril counts as medium armor and reduces armor check penalties and it allows you to run faster than regular steel plate, I think.

I don't think I'll stick with the same concept if this character dies. I came across a feat that would make a certain character from my past quite fun to try out with. It would require a slightly different build, but that's fine.

That helps surprisingly little. How likely am I to care about armor check penalties? And IIRC medium armor still counts against me if I sleep in it.

I dunno, how likely are you to run, climb, swim,  ride a horse or sneak in heavy armor? And movement speed can be very important on the battlefield. If only to get to them, before they get to us and to run away when you're in bad shape.

EDIT: The price is ridiculously steep IIRC though, so you're right to prioritise other things. I just have this ranger who has his eyes on a mithril plate set in my campaign, so just saying it's not bad.

@Geny: Sure, I have a ready sheet! Here you go, it even has caster levels! Note, I tend to put my class and racial features in the same section, and my feats get their own section.

Your extra judgement power for the dwarf favored class bonus would be bringing any one judgement power up to +5, which is actually sort of awesome. To put it into perspective, a +3 weapon enhancement costs 18,000 gold, and you're getting that for 6 HP/ skill points... neither of which you really need, since you're 1) the ranged DPS and 2) Not the skill monkey.

As a half orc, you would be getting some pretty nice bonuses too... but human is always better than half orc. Always. That bonus feat at level 1, the extra skill point EACH level and getting the same favored class bonus is... just so much better than the little bumps to specific skills you would get from being a half orc. If you are going with this class bonus, I suggest being human for the reasons listed above.

And to answer the final question, that depends entirely on your play style. Do you want to be the know it all (the half orc/ human favored class bonus), the damage dealer (the dwarf favored class bonus) or the guy with some all purpose skills/ hp to sling around (not spending the favored class bonus)? Whichever one you want to play, go for it.

@Kareeah: If you're wondering if Mithril is worth it, ask yourself this... how often do you think jumping, climbing and running will be part of a survival-horror game? It's better on a medium armor than a heavy (since that basically eliminates the armor check penalty and reduces weight to lol levels of low), but even on a heavy plate it's helpful... though very, very expensive. While your butt may thank you, your pocket book will be weeping manly tears (which, again, is another reason why it's better for medium armor... it's waaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper )

@Alkar: Oh hey, a character~ <3

Everything looks in order, and you have so many weapons, wow. XD Though none of them are returning! D: You'll sort of need that if you want to just chuck stuff at people...

Decided on Called for one of the starknives. Seemed like it would also work the way I'd like, and I wouldn't even have to stand still, if the need arose to move. Would run into issues in antiteleport areas, but I'll have to then find some other way to get something to throw.

Although, maybe I'll add some darts into the mix. Sure, they'll add a little weight, but I think I'm already into the Medium Load range. That's one of the reasons why I wanted the belt, though it didn't fully help. Throwing weapon people have to deal with so much weight...

Meh, darts are negligible. Just write how many of them you have and ignore the weight, I won't care.

Ok, so first of all: work in progress.

As for favored class bonus, I'm torn between the skill points and the judgement enhancer. Looking through the feats I found quite a number of useful judgement feats, so buffing it sounds good. But I would need to know what skills the rest of you are developing, because I have a number of useful skills and may need the extra points. With my high Wis and the Heresy Inquisition I can have uber Intimidate and Perception and Bluff. I'm torn about Survival and Sense Motive. And then there are 3 Class Knowledge areas: Arcane, Dungeon and Nature. So first, I need to decide which skills I'm using and then I'll know if I can forgo the skill point bonus in favor of judgement power.

Help?

P.S. Sorry, I know I'm trailing behind everyone else on this character creation thing, but there's just so much info to digest.

@Gnomes: Well I'm toying with the cost/benefit comparison in Excel of "Mythril Full Plate' vs. 'Mythril Breastplate/Chainmail + Armored Kilt' (running off the assumption that the kilt doesn't have enough metal in it to be able to be made of Mythril). The former gives me more overall protection but with the latter, I just need to take the kilt off to sleep in without penalty--and I'll still be meaningfully armored.

It has been a consideration for taking the Greatsword over the Lucerne Hammer though.

@Geny: You are not trailing behind; if anything you're ahead of me.

@Geny: You'll have to put down your base attack bonus(5+) yourself. I think once I put it in one of the areas, it filled in the others. Plus we all get 1 hero point, so don't forget to add that.

Was going to mention that the skills that take armor check penalties into consideration should be -1 on my sheet, but the sheet didn't show it. Fixed it though. For some reason, I had to put my armor at -0 for it the take into account my buckler's -1.

Also, I'm looking at the spell list and there is a "Returning Weapon" spell. How useful would that be to you?

Hero points are actually an optional rule... and instead of those, I'm giving your party 3 "Fate points" that are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more potent.

You can use these Fate Points for one of three things:
-Mass True Res on the party, if you so desire, or just true res on any one party member
-A helpful hint in a puzzle boss battle (.. This can be more helpful than it sounds)
-Creating a safe zone and delaying the next encounter (This will basically ensure you run into a city instead of... not)

@Geny: Shockingly, it seems like you are the skill monkey... which you should have the skill points to pull off. Really, though, the only thing you guys still need is Knowledge; the planes. Religion is covered by Kareeah, and you have Arcana, Dungeoneering and Nature... but since it's not a class skill for you, and your int isn't too high, I would leave that to someone else (either Alkar or Dagoth).

Also, you don't need a point invested in Craft unless you take some crafting feats... and you won't really have the time to use craft even if you do. And profession won't be too helpful either... Go ahead and reassign those points.

@Kareeah: You're actually getting to the level where armor class won't really save you in a normal game, so...

And I have no idea what Lucerne hammers are, but they sound weak. Like Radditz. Greatswords are awesome. Like Vegita.

It must have been made of something weak.

Returning weapon spell added.
Added another 7 skill points for the favored class bonus.

Still need to take care of my equipment and make some slight optimizations here and there.
