Tell that to Neverwinter online, they got SIX elf races, out of twelve races total.

Two races of elves is too much... I would prefer old Warlock/Dungeon/Asylum town instead of Dark Elves one but as we live in Ashan we have already: three races of Elves (wood, dark, sea), various races of Nagas (coral, lake, deep / Hashima, Shanriya, Sayama), three races of Orcs (jungle - Pao, plain - Ranaar, desert - Sahaar), etc.

I'm not really sure sea elves can be considered teir own faction. They are just wood elves that, well, sail the seas. They still worship Sylanna, and don't even have any form of central government AFAIK.

Same race, different culture. These are the 3 nations of Orcs, not the 3 races. Unless one considers Goblins and Cyclops Orc-subspecies, in which case there would be 3 races.

No, they can't but nevertheless they exist and they are not typical Sylvan elves. IIRC Sea Elves are refugee from Shantiri Empire who choose to live on seas (other elven refugee from Santiri settled in Irollan Forest and created their new kingdom).

Yes, indeed but on the other hand you can talk about them as different (sub)factions, who has common ancestors. Each culture has different line-up and life style.

Oh, certainly. There are many differences in lifestyle and culture. And it is very much possible that there are differences between the 3 nations in the warriors and allies they can bring to the field.
But Subfaction and Race are not equivalents. Race very much implies biologicall differences. But the Offspring of the mating of a Ranaar and a Pao Orc is not a Halfblood.

Dwarves, unlike Elves, are a united people. Might be some cultural differences between the ones who live in the mountain forts and those below the surface, or the mountain fortress Dwarves could just be the "military" and they rotate.

Dwarves have 6 clans, each ruled by own king. They are so much united as Elves or Holy Empire.

It's quite clear that Ubisoft plans to stick two defeated races into one expansion, I mean cmon, even they knew dwarves stood no chance against elves and that if Sanctuary confronts Inferno, they'll stand no chance as well.
So we get dwarves and sanctuary/dungeon in first expansion and everyone is happy.
I do hope Inferno wins because I never liked the warhammer dark elves wannabes that showed up in homm5.
With that said, support the dwarves! Rock solid defiance and epic beards hopefully return soon to us

dungeon in H6 was blessed with lots of old dungeon creatuers and i loved it (except the purple overdose).
yes they might be elves but they clearly belong to another faction. maybe they could add one more beast instead of an elf warrior and they will be fine.
nomatter how they look they still have their unique racial and abilties so they are very much different from those elves from irollan.

No it doesn't.
Avonu was a little off.
Yes there are 6 different Clans. And there are many Cities, each with it's own King. And the King Under the Mountains is the King amongst Kings. But Dwarves are loyal to their Clan first and their King Second.

you've proven a zillion times that you are trapped somewhere in the 90s, alone without innovative thinking, keeping a closed mind to anything new just because time never passed for you. i am envious of you. i actually am. i am not trying to be mean or offensive, but every post you have made about heroes 7 is not allowing anything new to breath!!
as i said dungeon elves are really different from sylvan! just because THREE units out of SEVEN have pointed ears does not mean they are the same. think about the supporting units the towns the racial, the unique passives and so on! clearly very much different gameplay-wise.

God I hope not. I really dont want more elves. I'm not that keen on Inferno either, but I'll take them any day over pouncing dandies. Even if they're " dark ".
