Actually, I'm not sure how that one worked - Crown of Enchantment allowed to ignore immunity to Mind Effects, while this one made all creatures immune to Mind Control, but did one had advantage over another, or did they equally negate themselves - as in, innately immune creatures remained immune, but other had no immunity?

well, in Homm 4 there is Ring of Greater Negation- All spell immunities and protections are negated for all creatures and heroes, friend and foe alike
also there is set from TGS giving "A hero wearing the Archmage's Hat, the Staff of Disruption, the Wayfaring Boots, the Ring of Flares, and the Angelfeather Cloak is granted the ability to ignore an enemy hero's or creature's magic resistance."
THe best way to avoid all the curses and mind control spells is to live on Cused ground

Yup, Avonu brought something like this out as well.
Ehh, so many overpowered artifacts, negating magics... Looks like I'll have to use good old seduction instead.

the Mind Shield trumps the Crown of Enchantment, the Crystal Pendulum and even the irresistable charms of Erwin himself lol

Yes, that was their underwear.
And no, spider theme for undead is IIRC used only by one character in all game... when she can wear other outfits without problem.
As for "black widow red clocks slapped to them besides looking like spiderwebs" - this picture below is also spider themed?
their underclothes are spider themed. I didnt say it beyend that, ever.
And no, those are just random scraps of cloth. The vampires have literally one of these slapped on their leg, along the weblike clothes

How many spiders do you see here?

This reminds me one situation from Age of Wonders 1, when a Nymph used her seduce ability on a giant with a club - she blew a kiss to him and he in response hit her in the face with his club.
BTW - What this topic was about again?

How many spiders do you see here? I see one, an obvious one, and truthfully, a rather ridiculous one. It was what Geny pointed out in the first place. Pretending that evidence or arguments proving you wrong doesn't exist does not help your case - I said that to Galaad already. You bring out irrelevant pictures and lead the argument by now, pretty much.

I have a vague memory of artifact discussion, particularly about the ones from Heroes IV.

@Sligneris
Please, read my posts again and see what about the whole reason was.
It was about MM8's necromacers were spider-themed while in fact only this one character has spider underwear - As far as I remember you don't have any other spider elements for undead town, equipment and visuals, beside this and only this one. Dark Elves on the other hand...

That gives us at least three spider-theme Vampire outfits. I have to admit, Geny has a rather strong case here - he didn't even claim it was everywhere, only that the spider theme was present - and it pretty much is.

speaking for myself, I really don't consider the use of spider imagery a serious problem, it's the overuse,
I mean if the spider symbology were as sparingly used as it is in Might and Magic 8 and Heroes 5, who could really complain
but to have guys worshipping a spider goddess who drink spider milk, carry spider flags into battle, tattoo spiders on their heads, fashion armour to resemble spiders, float around with magic spiders on their backs, construct spider siege engines, command giant spiders and live in mountains carved in the likeness of even bigger spiders is a little overkill
I mean thanks for freaking beating me around the head with your symbology, more abuse please lol

As much as I hope, when Erwan said in the interview that it can be "toned down", I really wish it was. Spider themeing isn't bad, the over use, was. The color green isn't bad, the over use is.
That really is the problem of Ashan in general. Race based factions aren't bad, but over-use is. "Everyone versus demons" based story lines aren';t bad, but since they are the majority, just tone it down. In H7, this seems to be automatic, as there won't be a demon in sight (barring neutrals and perhaps a neutral hero or two). Tone those down, tone the overt themeing down, tone the color pallet down... That'd fix a lot of problems just by taking a more relaxed case rather than extreme-to-the-max-all-the-time, and it'd be fine, in my opinion.
