I thought if you have an open demon gate you could summon them and keep them around as long as the gate is up. Hence why demonists are incredibly valuable to inferno since they are the ones who can open gates to summon demons through even though there is no eclipse.
We have seen it done in shades of darkness. I really do think that stories on how people fall to demon worship would be interesting to see. I mean going by what the spymaster said we may get a story on that. Plus when I read the description on the heretic I wondered what the ritual was to become a demon and the fact that its really painful.

Not to my knowledge. When the walls of Sheogh are at full strenght, Demons can only be summoned temporarily. Now, I'm not sure how long a demon can be summoned to exist on Ashan outside of the eclipses, but I suspect it's likely not much longer than a few days.

I'm gonna play the personal preference card.
INFERNO! I just like demons, that's it.
I don't care if they fit the counsil or what their motives are. Their strategy or whatever. I want them twisted mean and gross.

Well considering Demonist can open a direct portal and almost the limitless numbers of demons does it matter? I mean you gotta take down the portal or they would just keep pouring out.
The tricky part is infiltrating a demonist on Ashan but considering they are succubi and incubi that should not be much of a problem. That's the only hurdle they need to overcome.
Who knows if inferno wins we may have more expanded information on how long demons can remain on Ashan or how they are summoned etc.
Edit:Chris they are not on the council its the Spy Master who is going to be telling us the inferno/dungeon stories.

I'm not sure that's how Demonsummoning works.
And it still does not change that I'd prefer Dungeon.

Voting for separate creatures would be more of a nightmare considering its more highly likely we would get a jumbled up faction. Now if we just vote creatures and ubisoft handles what they do so they can work together I would be for it.

Yes Haven is red but is not flashy-glowing-from-everywhere-killing-your-eyes red.
