For all my dislike for Ashan lore, the Faceless does seem to rank rather prominently along with the Angels, so I do think it would be the best champion duo for Dungeon: Faceless and Dragons. Hydra seems more at home in a swamp anyway ...
I agree 101% with the (Faceless and Dragons)=(the best champion duo for Dungeon)!
And I agree with the more "swampy orientation" for the Hydra. But, anyway, if we were forced to have them in the Dungeon linup (so as not to disappoint some fellow players), I think they could fit to the elite tier and no problem...

I don't think faceless are champion material at all, their strengths lie elsewhere not on the battlefield.

Dungeon or Inferno?
I'd like to have this.
Having a black dragon makes you feel powerful? Why don't you taste the missiles fired by a tank
Having a Pit Lord makes you feel fearsome? Imagine the moment you are being stomped by an enormous Mecha.

where is the love for faceless angel? lets focus on the spellcasting and the magical aspect of dungeon. a master spellcaster as a champion, and the black dragon could still be their catapult!

if you expect me, to be amazed then i'm sorry for you. dragon as a catapult was in H6 dungeon. even if it wasn't black we all know that the faceless was going to be the champion and not mini malassa done in the last second if it wasn't for the fans.
but i amaze you! actually thank you

That was a Wyvern. Which, in Ashan, does not equal Dragon.

design-wise it looks very much like a dragon, and that was my angle.
since this game is before heroes 5, dark elves were in the dragon taming bussiness, hence the dragon in chains, and then in h5, ta dah! recruitable dragons!!

Fun fact: Succubi are actually male demons. From the information we have been given through exorcism we know that succubi don't like to go with men but they must do so in order to make them fall into sin.

Is that an actual creature? In DoC? I want that seriously if that's in the line up vote I would so vote for that. I doubt that's going to happen but still that looks cool. Still maybe lore wise that is a succubi that was more shaped by their want for destruction/hate.
Still I am being serious here then maybe we can have a incubi as a shooter for once.

From what I remember Succubus is female demon, who hunted monks in their dreams... at least that what they usually told to their abbot when they wake up... wet.
Male succubus is called Incubus.

Yes, it is. It's from the newest expansion called Sins of Betrayal (which takes place and tell story from H6 campaign).

No, that's the aspect they take, acutally, it's wrong even to define them as male.
As demons are fallen angels and angels don't have gender so I was kinda wrong to define them as male

Well, at least someone reads his Bible.
What do you make of Nephilim tho? Is it possible to be genderless and still impregnate women?

Yeah I think they are going to separate those elites into separate line ups. Plus essentially sanctuary have the snake ladies and Marzhin said no promises.

Protolisk said: I have to ask, how is it borrowed from Warcraft? If you mean the Faceless Ones, those guys are much more like Cthulu-esque bipedal things compared to Ubi's dark angels with wispy tendrils rather than legs.
And the Naga of Warcraft, beyond being watery snake people, are quite different from the Naga of Ubisoft, as Ubi uses more human variatons instead of the strange "molded flesh" looking Naga men, and their women use more fish fins and webbed hands. Which are not what Ubi's Naga are. Never mind the fact that Naga from Hinduisim are snake looking and are thought of as protectors of springs, lakes and so forth, meaning that the very thing they have in common with Warcraft Naga (being snakes, water themed) comes from real life anyways. They didn't borrow there either.
not saying the artwork is ripped, but the concept from a design standpoint is close, I'm just highly suspicious Erwin was playing World of Warcraft while creating Ashan and decided, let's plug these faceless and naga into my awesome new setting
at least I definitely don't give him benefit of the doubt that he added the aquatic naga race with no "inspiration" from Blizzard, lol
the timing of 2003-2006 when WOW was so popular fits, much wow so creative, and again it's just my hunch, but with all the other plagiarism that took place it's hardly a stretch
but anyway that's why I'm not too keen on the faceless, just a bit supicious of creative bankruptcy there and don't really think they belong
How is "elemental race of darkness with ability to manipulate and shapeshift" close at all "alien invaders burried in the earth"?
the naga being a wc ripoff because they're snakes (really? reaally?) and because they're related to water. Have you ever thought that the reason Blizz made them related to water is because they are in myth?
Quote: Nāgas are snakes that may take human form. They tend to be very curious. According to traditions nāgas are only malevolent to humans when they have been mistreated. They are susceptible to mankind's disrespectful actions in relation to the environment. They are also associated with waters—rivers, lakes, seas, and wells—and are generally regarded as guardians of treasure.
Quote: Nāgas are believed to both live on Mount Meru, among the other minor deities, and in various parts of the human-inhabited earth. Some of them are water-dwellers, living in streams or the ocean; others are earth-dwellers, living in underground caverns.
Quote: For Malay sailors, nāgas are a type of dragon with many heads; in Thailand and Java, the nāga is a wealthy underworld deity. In Laos they are beaked water serpents.
Quote: n Tibetan religion, the nāga was equated with the klu (Tibetan: ཀླུ་ that dwell in lakes or underground streams and guard treasure.
