One was used to help in creating the world and lore and even the game. Tho other was used without much thought on how it would affect the rest of the game nor any plans on how it would improve anything. Besides, SoIaF influences weren't copied directly. I'm also asleep now so sorry...

They were both used to create the world just because one is disliked and the other not so much does not mean they did not influence the world. Also warcraft's influences were not directly copied either they are just more apparent because they are visuals.
Sleep well.

People say they copied Warcraft but keep in mind Blizzard themselves are one of the biggest copycats.
If anything Ubi copied Warhammer Fantasy.

All canon. Games after Heroes VI are considered 100% canon.

I think that curse was actually killing him, not removing immortality. "See? The Void has begun to erase the mind of your so-called Dragon God".
The Dragons are not immortal actually, according to Sandro.

Yep. Sandro explicitly says that the Void is killing Elrath.
So, he tried to do with Void curse in the Spirit World, but was stopped by main heroes. Then he attempted to finish his job, by (I think quite physically) killing the Dragon.
So, it makes 2 attempts on Elrath's light, bith unfinished.
@Kiryu - my thoughts exactly. I was forced to defeat myself 2 times...

That depends - the second battle is also conclusion of the first - Void curse was erasing Elrath's mind (this effect was stopped) but also was making him mortal. So when he was mortal "enough", Sandro choose to finish Dragon God himself... and as always, he failed.

Wait... why does Markal have Sandro in a high regard, if Markal actually worships Asha, while Sandro wanted to eliminate the Dragon Gods?

Are you so sure that Markal actually worships Asha? ^^ You know, Giovanni also "worshipped" her...

Maybe Markal doesn't really worship Asha or merely puts his quest for power above his faith and respects his mentor nonetheless. Official religion a people practices doesn't mean everyone of the said people wholeheartedly follow it or always obey its tenets.

Oh, during that first scenario, The Temptation, when Markal encounters one of the wizards, he makes that religious speech of wanting to lie in Asha's realm before being revived as an undead creature.

Stevie said: It's beyond me how someone can still doubt that the Demons are Kreegans in spite of such a colossal amount of direct and circumstantial evidence. Good job Verriker for taking your time to explain it all, tho I think your opposition was undeserving of your answers, which will probably remain ignored to the end as they seem to hit a brick wall of impossible reasoning. The appropriate thing to do when faced with such ludicrous mental acrobatics is to indeed "lol" them off, lol
Truer words were never spoken. Including the part on "mental acrobatics".
Verriker did a great job in that debate. While the constant "loling" he is so fond of may indeed be a bit grating, if one looks past it and pays attention to the actual arguments verriker presents, it's not a real problem

As Markal actually escaped Wizards in the Canyon, I think those words should not be taken as "canon".
Anyway, he was Sandro's non-nethermancer agent, so I think that "worship of Asha" is just a mask. But I agree that further exploration of Sandro-Markal tandem is required.

BTW, I'd like to adress some of the retcons you mentioned during a previous discussion with Avonu. You got most of that right, but there are a few points you mentioned that are not really retcons or contradictions to the previously established lore. But I'll get to that later (gonna be a sizeable post), hope you'll join the discussion.
