I voted yes. I can't imagine not playing the game so getting it is not a question of "if" but "when". Then I might just as well get it as soon as it's available - i.e., through pre-order.
I'm still up in the air about which edition, though. I am not interested in the "fluff" that comes with the physical Collector's Edition, I just want the game with all the digital stuff they designed.

I'm pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe. It comes with Solmyr and the extra scenario and I can't miss those. I was considering the Collector's Edition but I changed my mind with all that's happened as of late. The no changes to the Skillwheel was the nail in the coffin, even though I'm still hopeful that it will get a rework with the first expansion. Also, I can't be oblivious of the good will they showed us with the votes, the GURS and Lich/Vampire remodel, and personally with the community event participation, so I'll have to give them credit for that. It might be that they fooled me by putting up a smile, but I'm giving them the benefit of a doubt. I'm also concerned about the Beta phase to which I definitely want to take part and contribute so that the game ends up in good shape by the time they release it.

Definetely not pre-ordering. I'm not even sure if im going to buy the whole game  I will wait and see it in action and then decide if its worth my hard earned money. And if not i will wait and hope for the expansions to salvage whats left of the wreckage  if they fail too, then i will not purchase anything  just like with H6

After thinking about it, I think I will pre-order this game. I definitely want to play it, so I might just as well pre-order. I haven't really decided which version. It's either going to be the collectors' edition or the digital deluxe one, because I don't want to miss out on the additional in-game content.

I never pre-order any games, no matter what. And I hate the culture getting exclusive things, it makes me avoid it even more. Solmyr should be available to everyone, period. Pisses me off.

Heeeeeell no.
there is absolutely no reason to pre-order unless you want the extra doodads (which includes a singleplayer scenario, i mean WTF!?) which i couldn't give two snows about. add to that that it's ubisoft so the chances of the game coming out complete is pretty non-existent. no, i'll wait til' i know it's a/good, b/complete and c/not too expensive. neither will happen anytime soon, i feel.

I suspect the misunderstanding stems from Liz getting a free copy for not being able to attend the fan day. The impression might have been left that everyone that got to attend got one.

Yeah we attended the event, so why would we? Lizard got this as some kind of consolation prize.
However, we could still get the beta for free, I would gladly help if this was the case. But I guess that's bad for business.

Pre-ordered the CE edition for the sake of readers of my fansite and all those undecided players.
I will do "unboxing Heroes VII CE" video so they all can watch the contents and hear/read my comments about it.

+1 although if they do something spectacular before beta starts I might still consider the collectors edition. Since I lost nearly every vote that mattered that's not likely to happen. But after the skill wheel mess I'm downgrading to the deluxe version, which kinda sucks cause I wanted the CD of the game.

Honestly, I think I will pass this time and wait community reviews. My interest in the series has really waned over the years and I may just get it when it is on sale at some point.

Ok, I don't like the idea that I have to pre-order the game to have acces to beta, yes I was naive to think that if they created the mmh7 site and shadow council to give feedback about the game, that would include engaging the shadow council in the bata, as a thank you for supporting the game, maybe the game will be good and enjoyable but i still don't like Ubi and their choices

Heck no. The price for pre-orders are so high up from the hype and few additional items. It is not like the game will be unplayable without it... not to mention how much you should know about the game itself before that decision.
