Too bad Nintendo is saving on that dough or else we'd maybe get some actual characters instead of Pink Gold Cat Peach and Metal Tanooki Mario

The only company i pre-order from these days are Nintendo. Want to know why? Complete and ultra-polished games with no DLC in development. I get the complete package immediately and they have still to ruin my trust. there are other good publishers out there, but few do games i'm that interested in.

While I never have a problem with their end product, Nintendo Some times will come up with complete crap, make it look like something nice, and include it in if you pay that pre-order price. I made that mistake wih hyrule Warriors and got two absolutely terribly made skins for link and zelda

After all this time following heroes 7 development, I figure I might as well pre order it. It's not like I'm going to stop following the game and I'd rather play it then read more stupid articles about how h3 and h5 didn't give any freedom to its players.

i'm ok with skins TBH. couple of things about HW though: it was Namco Bandai who published and developed (Nintendo took care of over-sea publishing) and you didn't have to pay extra for it. Can't be mad at that . Europeans even got a chance at getting a freakin' scarf! that's the kind a snow i want in my Collectors editions nothing in-game

I won't stop you but please think about what kind off behavior you are supporting. If you're ok with it, go ahead. All the power to ya

I like skins too! It's just that these were so ugly it looked like an employee made them on their lunch break. It was the ocarina of time skins. The twilight princess ones looked way better. Then again everything looked better in that game. I miss it

And I know I probably shouldn't preorder after the stuff Ubi pulls. But they did spend a lot of money on me to fly me out to San Fransico, and they pushed the return day back so I got to stay for a few extra days after the event to see my relatives. Feels kind of greedy after all that to just put my foot down and say no. I still think the game will be fun, it just won't have much replay ability with the skill system.

Well, they didn't buy your loyalty, did they? You shouldn't feel compelled to buy only due that, but really in spite of your own volition.

I said i still think the game will be fun, so it isn't the only reason. They already lost a CE buy from me which I was going to preorder before the skill wheel fiasco.

Well that's the least they could do after they took away your flying ability afterall.

i changed my mind, i will pre-order, for the dignity of series and for mainly h8. i want limbic to continue on with h8, we need a experienced team for better games. nival changed, blackhole gone bankrupt, ubisoft said "meh.." to series. i want to change it. i dont expect h7 to be a good game at all, but ehhh here you are my reasons. so i have a question: can i pre-order for a better price? less then 50 euro? and if i can, how much i should wait for it? any guesses everyone?

Wait a few months, maybe before release, and pre order then. I'll do it too, wait for it before release and decide then from the feedback, maybe we'll get a chance in a free beta too.

Don't get the wrong idea. I didn't wanted to make you feel miserable about it, as I consider it to be foolishness. Rather, I'd wish you to enjoy your purchase.

I hope that swag is worth it lol. I never pay so much for a game. I usualy buy them at a discount in steam ... for 30-40$ ... that's 80$ less or more! For same price you can get 3 relativley new titles.

Must say tho, Figurine + tarrot deck and art book are nice. If I would get collector's I would probably never open it tho. In 30 year's time, it will be sought after product for collectors of HoMM series, and could even increase in price.

What is this???!! If you buy the CE, you do it because you love it, like Hermes, not in a prospect to resell it 30 years later at triple price or more!!

Like how the Holiday Special is a sought after item by collectors of Star Wars memorabilia.

@Galaad: Wow ... such hatered Anyways that's my take on it. If I were to get CE, I would feel bad by opening it, and ruining collector's value, which ofc means I would need to buy normal version aswell, just to play it. But relax. I will not do such thing, first because I have no interest of spending that much then waiting .... however much years. And secondly ... because it's HoMM 7, and not that awsome investment anyways. If it was HoMM 4 (the last NWC title), or HoMM 1 (the first Homm title), then I might reconsider

But I know, I know ... I'm too cold haha. That's the part about it being collector's edition afterall ... it's for collecting, not playing imo.

@Avirosb: Exactley - If it's considered bad now, maybe it'll get value eventualy

Zombi does bring up an interesting point here, though. This kind of 'mint in box'-hype is real when it comes to, say, action figures or other kinds of franchise. Buying the CE without opening it could be used for the same purpose, but I wouldn't do that myself. I bought it for the goodies ánd the game (not necessarily in that order of importance), and I want to be able to look at them and show them etc. Still, a completely untouched, unopened box like this could be an interesting item in an x amount of years. Or you just hope that the Ivan statue will be enough and you treat that with museum-like care xD.

There's actually a funny episode from The Big Bang Theory (season 5, episode 20, "The Transporter Malfunction") that deals with this hype. In the episode, the object in question is a vintage Star Trek transporter toy.

I have never pre-ordered anything as far as I can remember.

Usually I wait for reviews. I sometimes buy games brand new but even for really good games I often hold off until they go on sale for a tiny fraction of their original price.

This is due to me being a combination of poor and cheap. (Well, not REALLY poor. I just have to spend a LOT on the kids to make sure they can actually make use of their gifts.)

Also I have almost never gotten to really sit down and play a game for any extended period of time since maybe a year after my first child was born in 2009. (Wow, nearly 5 years now)
