The first thing is very easy, the second much more work.

In order to add a real puzzle map all RMGObelisk.(advmapbuildingshared) files must be replaced with the default Obelisk.(advmapbuildingshared). The graal.(advmapartifactshared) must be placed somewhere on the map with 'randomshiftradius' set to 320. In order to choose a position I recommend replacing a single goldpile = gold.(advmaptreasureshared), because these piles are very weak and have minimum impact on balance. It doesn't seem to matter which gold pile is replaced since with randomshiftradius at 320 it can appear on any reachable tile. It doesn't matter if map is smaller than 320. It is up to cichy if he is interested in this (if so please make a separate checkbox for it).

pointlights will be huge amount of work, because for every building a proper light color and position coordinates must be defined.

I have a question, I hope this is the right place to ask.

I just installed 5.5 and it looks great but I am finding that neutral stack sizes seem to be scaling way faster that before, especially in neutral buildings like the Dragon Utopia.  For example, I found a dragon utopia that in week 9 had over 20 in every stack.

I set the difficulty to normal when I create the game and I'm using random maps with monster strength set to normal as well.

Was the growth rate significantly changed or is there another setting I am missing?  So far I've played through 3 games on random maps and in each case, by month 3 the neutral packs have grown so large that I take significant losses even in "low threat" fights and have no chance to win against banks, utopias, etc.  

After a point it feels unwinnable because my rate of growth is dwarfed by everything on the map and, short of finding a second town in the same faction, I don't see any way to make up the difference.

Welcome Jonathan!

There is a file in <game folder>/data called H55-settings.pak which contains a value for the growth of site banks(H55_banksdifficulty).

You can find out how to edit it from here.

The value regards the growth pace per week so the lesser the value the smaller the growth. The default value is 1, you can go as low as you want (0.1 or 0.01 etc..) just dont set it to zero.

?, if you want to be sure to use the right exe file just don't use a shortcut but open the file directly from the bin folder.

im doing thet but it still shows im in a 32 bit file
i cheack throu tesk manager->ditails->platform
it shows whats 32 bit and what is 64 bit
also the game is in the progran files x86 which is unusal for 64 bit files

im dying to play the mod but whenever i play a big map it crushes at some point

MMH55_64.exe will not cause saving/loading crashes regardless of what taskmanager says, if you suffer crashes it is another issue:

-You are playing on a newly generated map in Hotseat or LAN, but forgot to activate scripts. Patch the map with reanimation patcher in start menu.
-Game wasn't patched to 3.1 before installation and/or mod isn't installed in right directory, uninstall and reinstall the mod.
-A conflicting mod or map is installed, try removing temporarily all custom maps and other mods downloaded from the internet and restart a clean RMG map, check if everything is now working properly.

On what exact day that happens and does it happen on every map?
Perhaps just for that day you should try to use MMH55_Utility_64.exe.

Save the game day before it happens, then start MMH55_Utility_64.exe, load saved game, when problematic day passes save again, then start MMH55_64.exe and load the save.

This issue is not related to memory or 32bit exe it is a script malfunction that already starts on day 1 of the game. It pretty much always an installation/conflict issue or because player loads game through steam. Also once it occurs it cannot be salvaged on saved games, a new game must be started after the issue is fixed.

If you cannot find it, you could try making one new RMG map, temporarily remove all other maps, start new game on it and open the console for error messages.

Soo how do i fix this?
U said it could be because of steam so should i download a pirated copy of the game then download the mod on thet folder(im not using online anyway and i already own the game  so its not "stealing")

You don't need a pirate copy, original TOE doesn't have protection anyway. You just should never start the game through the steam launcher, but use the shortcuts provided or open the MMH55_64.exe file directly.

i never used steam luncher
im now trying throu a pirated copy(still showing its 32bit)
if u have any idea how to fix this please tell

If you made a clean install I think the issue is likely gone when you start a new map, it is not possible for me to see what was wrong with your installation the first time.

I now mostly play HOMM5.5. It is a good mod, with the AI curiously passive in some games and very aggressive in others. The much tougher neutral structures make the game more interesting.

I recently had a battle in a cemetery where I had to fight 6 stacks of 11K upgraded skeletons, 3 stacks of skeleton archers and 3 stacks of skeleton warriors. I had a big army(albeit only 3 stacks), but nowhere near to that size(66K skeletons!). What was worse was that I was a dark caster, so I had to think creatively to survive the battle. 1.5 hrs later I won without losing a single unit! Wish I had saved the replay for anyone interested in a creeping clinic.

It is still a 32 bit application patched to make use of extended memory on a 64 bit OS.

Hey I can't remember if this is true but I swear I read it was.

Now a while ago there was a bug where if the AI went to a artifact merchant it caused the game to crash. You couldn't have AI have the wizard town as when they bought the merchant it crashed as well.

Now I remember reading that this bug was fixed however I haven't been able to confirm if it was. Was it fixed?
