So no beta this week either? Or are they on holiday or something? I figured we'd have heard something today.

It's only monday.
According to the estimates last week it would take them a few days to fix the bugs and a few more to test the fixes.
That was last week. Assuming they haven't run into more gamebreaking things, the fixes should be being tested today and maybe tomorrow.
Given that timeframe, I expect an announcement or status update either tomorrow or wednesday.

Beta is tmwr. Even though its probably ready today, they like to announce stuff rather than deliver..
And their way of saying sorry for snowing up is by giving away a free beta key............. I dont care to give away keys to 'share' with my friends, I planned on sharing it by playing a hotseat game together.
Ubisoft always manages to disappoint

Let the keygrab begin  I wouldn't mind taking one as well if anyone is burdened by it.
Anyhow I believe it will be ready for tomorrow, as even they wouldn't really risk even bigger outrage.

I don't think ubi realizes how this could backfire a whole lot. it's a pretty good way of saying "sorry" though.

It is a great compensation, now I dont have to wait for gameplay videos but can try the game myself to decide if I buy it or not thanks to my friends who preordered 
But it is probably useless for the people who preordered and useful only for people who dont... its a strange compensation actualy
