Guns in such cases will change nothing. Let's assume this was happening in Texas, where ninety-something percent of the civilians own guns, how many of them would carry that to a concert hall, let's say all of them did, in an organized attack where ISIS terrorists who are often trained mercenaries suddenly walk in with automatic rifles, what's anybody going to do? I can assure you nobody will try to be Bruce Willis. This is not a situation like hearing a burglar downstairs and quietly taking out your gun from the drawer in order to protect yourself.

Equally bad with what happened in here, only less dead in our case. And I don't care who does it, if people die because of carelessness, conspiracy or aggression, the ones guilty must pay.

i firmly disagree, but only because i am a military-minded person. i don't think everyone who carries guns are trained(or train themselves) properly to handle a situation like that.
but it's fairly simple. get behind cover; if none, get flat, behind bodies if you have to, and return fire. it really doesn't matter what any gunman is firing; bullets are bullets, and all calibers kill. know what your weapon is capable of, and know how to use your environment to your advantage.
the trouble with the ak round(7.62mm), is that it tends to even go through brick and cinderblock. there's a reason that the ak is so widespread; it's because it does a ton of damage. one hit can kill, easily; because the round is large, and the round tumbles(meaning it'll do more damage upon impact, especially with soft flesh).
but that doesn't mean that someone carrying at least a .380, can't fill the gunman full of lead as well. besides, if those ak's are automatic, they would be switching mags more often than if they were single-fire, which leaves you more openings to hit your target.
edit: unless, of course, if they are covering one another as they switch mags. then you don't have much chance, but you can still take a gunman down with you, first.

We get only what we deserve. After Charlie Hebdo attacks, Holland claimed the Nation is Great and we will not be afraid. But he did nothing against ISIS.
Today he says Nations is Great again and we will not be afraid. Same pattern, same empty of sense words. And tomorrow he will do nothing, neither the day after and so on.
While France has the tools to RAZE entire regions, but won't do it. This is how it looks a dying nation, the terrorists only speed the process. A nation being great means ALSO the capacity and motivation to retaliate hard and hurt exactly where it REALLY hurts. Our greatness has been reduced to empty slogans.

Yes and some wonder just why did most of Europe become like this? Is it just the years after the end of Cold War that also brought inherrent corruption that spread along with the lack of incentive for having great military forces ?
IF anyone attacks here, no one will come to help. I am sure.

Three terrorists now reported dead in the hall. FOX reported French authorities say they captured a terrorist who claims 2 others came with him from Syria on a mission from ISIS.

Anyone who thinks we all should serve them or be like them in every way is an enemy. For me.

And there's also the matter of other terrorist factions having an open ground to do their bidding under the name of ISIS, even if they are of a completely different background, whichever the culprits are for yesterday's crimes.
I think some hard times are coming, from within and without.
You all in Europe, stay sharp. And my best wishes go for your safety.

With targets such as these, I think those ISIS people just wants to bring chaos to western countries because we don't have chaos over here ( usually ) while they do. They are aware of our proxy and economic domination. A more strategic option would be to assault cops and military people rather than normal civilians. Attacking purely civilians like that will only blow back in their faces later on because it will spark a real willingness to act. France is still the no 8 military ( or something ) in the world. It's even worse than collateral damage.
My guess is that they are tired of waging losing battles against better equipped people all the time and now they're engaging in skirmish against unarmed people. It's a normal consequence of fighting these people with air strikes and such. They would probably prefer fight American soldiers on equal footing.
Anyways. I'm not trying to defend them, just understand the mentality of these attackers. The world would be better off without these Muslim extremists.
