@ df: breaking away from the system only really serves to make me unhappy. i only know one other person irl, who thinks like i do; and questions all this bullsnow. everyone else accepts it like it's a law of physics or something.
i'm just going to have to get used to reality t.v. "reality". adapt or die, right?

Depends what do you expect.
Myself, I quit being a rat in a maze before I even began trying such lifestyle. My list of material goods I want in my life is tiny, cheap and almost complete. I don't care for money, nor career. I value free time above everything else. My girlfriend is more or less the same, though, so I don't feel alone 
All I need is a better environment to live in. And voila, I'm happy right there, screw money and banks and corporations and consumerism.

i'm the same way. i can easily settle for just being able to pay my bills. i have everything i want, really(which is why it's difficult for me to commit to going to college. i'm actually considering wasting my free college tuition dough on a computer graphics degree; just so i can get better at modding heroes with 3d). whatever job i get would be enough to pay for traveling every once in awhile, which is the only other real expense i'd ever want.

Curious. I thought most of those refugees are being kept on border of Macedonia and Greece, or in Turkey's borders.
Regardless, I guess one could say they are taking precautions, the most recent bombing.
