EnergyZ said: Though, isn't it a bit odd how the first sites have found H7 a good game (score of 75+), then later ones think of it as mediocre of bad (65-)?
Not really. First site actually gave it score of 60 on metacritic. A pre-review(couple days before launch) in my country said it was very average game with plenty of problems though didn't give actual number. People have their own visions and basis on their evaluations. Just think of user evaluations, the game got 10-12 reviews with full 10/10 before game was even playable on metacritic!

Even about the conservative fanbase(you being one of them/us) ruining the evolution of the game?
I think he even went kind of mild on the game thb. It howeverdid kind of take me by surprise that a seasoned reviewer like TB actually belived the lie peddled by Ubi that we are some kind of unsatiable reigious sect that only acknowledges the holy book that is H3 to be true and good.
There is probably no point in mailing him a wall of text refuting each and every misconception he has about our input on the game but I sure wish the comments would be enabled under the video sometimes.

For the record - I'm not considering myself part of the conservative fanbase.
Also for the record, I agree completely with his verdict that the game is a sequel for sequel's sake.
Again for the the record, I said numerous times that "best of" is doubtful in the record business and usually done for profit's sake, when the artist has a creative break - or died; in the video game business it's bullcrap.
And lastly for the record, what would be the verdict for a company that would actually allow the "conservative fansase", whatever coherent entity that's supposed to be, to ruin a game?

Should we look again at the options suggested by the said fan base as soon as it got the necessary infos to react? And how Ubi actually took it into account?
Is very simple really, h6 was hated and somebody had to do something about it, so he said the next game would be done "with the fan base" when it even actually wasn't. So if the game fails, the fan base should be to blame? Yet none of its wish was respected nor implemented, in some regards even going opposite directions. Maybe a few details has been adjusted I don't know but even so it just cannot save the bigger picture. I think if this series is being ruined by anyone it certainly is not the community.

That's not the point. The point is - IF IT INDEED WAS, what would that say about the company? What kind of an excuse would that be?

Lol it just hit me that h6 actually got better reviews than h7 when looking at meta-critic. On user reviews they are just about even.

Quantomas said: Interestingly most gaming sites charged junior reviewers who handed [Heroes 6] a 8/10 (imagine at GameSpot Deus Ex and Minecraft got 8.5 in comparison to 8.0 for H6). Even the bugs get discounted, so the management can blame fully the DRM for low sales. Here is the real joke, even the full force of the market response doesn't lead Ubisoft to realize what truly is wrong.

Well, from my point of view, Heroes 6 IS better than Heroes 7. They better fix that desync multiplayer bug and give us customizable heroes for duels for me to consider it better than the 6th installment.
