We still have paper IDs, or at least the past generation of IDs are made of paper.
Since glue eventually dries out, and the cheapest may fizzle too soon before the expiration date they decided to go with staples for attaching the photo.
I've heard they're now introducing plastic IDs here, although I'll see that in a year, I don't plan on renewing it before it expires.

We still have paper passports. ID's, the ones each citizen are given when they are born are also not plastic themselves but the paper, since it's not a booklet like the passport, is covered in thin, transparent plastic. So, no staples involved.

That's Cem Yilmaz, the most famous comedian in here. I love his stand ups but most of his movies suck in my opinion.
We will be switching to plastic ID's with microchips very soon, from what Neraus writes, I see Italy will, too. So, you can say paper is on its way to being obsolete.

On an unrelated note, Alice Cooper will be playing in Lithuania upcoming summer, July 31st at our Island Castle in the beautiful town of Trakai. Too bad my financial priorities lie elsewhere at the moment. *sad panda face*

I think tickets will be well within 60+ euro price range.
Plus the venue he'll be playing is a historic site after all, and this is a post soviet country that never seen desovietisation, we can safely add another 30 euros to that.
Although, when Iron Maiden played here, tickets were cheaper, up to 60 for your regular ticket. VIP and crap were expensive as bleep.

Still waiting for Iron Maiden to come visit us. Doesn't look like it's gonna happen though.
Then again, the last couple of years many of my old favorites came for the first time (or at least first time in a while).

They've recently deported associates of swedish "documentary film maker" Jonas Ohman, who is prancing around Oligarchic failed state of khokholstan with Lithuanian flag, so it mean's he's not who he claims to be, and the story of his mom harboring jews during the war is bull.
So GG to Mossad for that.
And there's not only Hamas to watch for. Lot's of psychotic imbeciles out there in the middle east.

I've been to my fair share of Rock concerts in stadiums back in the day but none of them was a mind-blowing experience. I just prefer to be home and listen to it by myself without all the friggin' circus. One time was funny though, I was in high-school and Guns n' Roses was here, the opening act was Brain May, anyway, near the end of the night, they played Patience and you know how there is a part in the end of that song where the chords slightly resemble John Lennon's Imagine... The crowd didn't take it for a resemblence and everybody started singing "imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try..." Axl Rose was really puzzled for a few seconds but he quickly adapted, put the mic over to the crowd and they ended the song as a medley. Fun times...

Hasn't happened yet, Kip. Besides, if someone can get deep enough to cause havoc at a show they don't need to wait for it. They can just go into the nearest mall or movie theater or stadium etc. etc. So yeah, I'm not too bothered.
And speaking of Guns 'N' Roses, apparently they're doing a reunion gig and coming to Israel next summer. So my plans for 2017 currently include them and Aerosmith.
