Yes, only on campaign maps.

Ofc if someone would have the time to put all the needed references to the original game via another mod it could be done.

But there is one problem - scripts (thus Atmos, crafting, Alchemy skill, some adventure buildings) work only on singleplayer and/or hotseat maps. Not on skirmish multiplayer maps - by the (stupid) game design we cannot change

As WPU isnt changing anything in the core of the game you should be fine with any mod.

Just remember to note this when you report a bug (that you have a mod installed).

We aim to have UCP confirmed to be "safe" with WPU so you can enjoy the game without some pesky bugs

if i try to unzip the first main package, i get Errors and the Folder is empty

Make sure you have the newest WinRaR software before unpacking the archives: https://www.win-rar.com

So far nobody reported this issue but I can also provide you the direct link for the unpacked content - but those are bigger files (cca 2GB+).

works now, for some reason download didnt work first time... i didnt check everything yet but it Looks rly good so far (: ill try to test as much as i can, rly good work, i love how much effort u put in the small Details, the Units look great as well (: cant wait to see teh campaigns or whatever Kind of Maps u have created!

ive just checked the pyramid XD LOL i was like wtf when it lunched XD


i had some time to test few Things, so:


first of all rly nice work, i like the new Combat Maps, they look great,

the new Adventure map Buildings are also cool and look great and i like em alot, u gonna give other map creators acces to these? im not sure how that dead skelleton one is supposes to work, somethime it just dissapears and sometimes it attacks you i guess? when i got that Pop up About the skelleton and i had a hero without an army Nothing happened tough...


the new  snake xel unit gives imprinted lighting bolt that intended? guess so but the lighting bolt is too strong, just a Suggestion, that is a Problem with a lot imprinted spells tough...


i totally love the new alchemy skill, u must have put so much work into this mechanic and it is rly fabolous (: how do statues like blazing glory scale? with magic? would be great if u gave acces to other modders for this Content as well!


to be honest im not a big fan of the xel faction, i see it is a cool faction, Alien themed, why not, but it is not my Kind of Thing, but i think u did a great Job on em, the Units look good, their skills are interesting and new, just as the new hereos and i think the campaigns will be very nice to Play! (:

Dead Skeleton - there is a chance to find an artifact or nothnig. And sometimes the skelie attacks your hero! But ofc if there is nothing to fight, nothing happens But your hero should have been dead - will check the script again.

That is intended as it is described in its ability. But we will lower the DPS cos its really high now.

Thanks again! Yes the crafting aka Alchemy skill was a nightmare to script (and it still is) but in the end it gives Heroes the RPG feel a bit from MaM series.

Statues do not scale but I can look into a mechanism for scaling (magic or hero level).

Yes, you are not alone who do not like aliens but I wanted to bring something different... not again some fantasy units I wanted scifi elements in our story. But I promise if there will be enough fans having fun with WPU, I will try to bring back Inferno or Sanctuary faction to Heroes VII (in some distant future).

The Atmos is working like this: every day a random weather effect spawns in one of the 6 circles. So yes you have to "hunt" a bit the particles that tells you that the system is active in that region or just stand still in each one and keep ending turns untill you get the weather effect upon you )

aahhhhh, makes sense, ive enabled no turn cost when i played the map, if only 1 weather effect can be active at one day, of Course it woudnt work the same round…

i forgot to Mention that the statues look rly good, first i thought they would look strange but since they are animated and even move a bit, it Looks quite well for what they are meant to be, too bad u didnt use the H6 angel model but i gues u had ure reasons, just my favourite unit (:

can the stautes be targeted? i think the lighting aura from that xel snake Unit destroyed my statue, i was like wtf happened >.> i think they also have a Animation for "dieing", what is nice but they have very Little hp

1) The Old Skeleton is indeed bugged and wont attack you at all (even with units in your hero army). But it is already fixed and will be patched in beta 0.1.1 version!

2) Atmos - yes, better play with regular rules

3) Yeah that is why I call them "living statues" And yes you can attack and destroy those statues. But the poor AI cannot figure out how to do that so it is also an obstacle for AI player So positioning statues and avoiding friendly fire is the key!

4) VARN is a legendary acronym from the first MaM game! Vehicular Astropod Research Nacelle
Achievement icons are global buffs so those stick everywhere - and yes, it is not much user friendly. I will try to find better way where to store/show achievements.

5) We are aware of this issue and a "fix" was already deployed in the internal beta version. We cannot change the logic of Kismet scripting language but at least we have implemented a message/warning so player know what is happening and why.

To be honest, initially, I didn't like the idea of bringing sci-fi elements back to the series either.

However, I'm really fond of the way we dealt with it (as for the story background), it's fitting the fantasy concept quite well in my opinion. It's the expanded vision of a fantasy world in a wider context.

atmos System Looks interesting, on Maps with many different zones and multiple hereos to explore i imagine it to bring some Fresh wind (:

atmos blessed Tooltip indicates "increases dark resistance by -50%" should be + not -


the celestials didnt receive this effect, only my xel Units, Maybe because i gave em light immunity in my mod? might also be related to their aura of purity, that intended? seems like blessed is a positive effect, so Maybe a bug?


some Feedback of weather effects:
i like most but sandstom and Blizzard seems a Little odd,
first, chilled making valuable to fire doesnt make much sense, same for sandstorm doing same to water(guess sandstorm is supposed to be hot weather+ some sand wind), it should be the opposite, chilled making water more effective and fire less and sandstorm making fire stronger(since it is hot and wind also Blows it up) and water weaker

That would be two different stats. Maybe "Decrease Dark effects by 50%"?
