Some first-time voters don't know how to sign their name on the ballots because they've only ever signed electronically.
Just make some squiggly lines. You've got this brahs.

If that's someone's main selling point to becoming president, then great? I don't see the issue. You don't mean to say that a person deserves office or not based on their sex, right?

I meant to say what I said: that Americans won't vote a woman into the highest office, ever, because, well, what qualifications does Trump have? Except being a proven criminal, a proven liar, a proven mysogynist and a narcissist and now someone who can do everything he wants if he's in office since he just has to do it in his function as president of the US. It couldn't have been worse - still he won, and handsomely.
I mean, with Nixon they asked, famously: Would you buy a used car from this man? Now replace Nixon with Trump: Would you?

Hillary won the popular vote by 3 million, so that argument falls down, you have this annoying habit of spotting misogyny everywhere you can't see anything else. But there is a lot.
In reality, this was an election Trump vs Anti-Trump, Harris is a nobody. And is not because you personally hate Trump that others don't see qualities, the results are burden of proof.

Indeed. Epic!
Congratulation to Trump, he has a lots of work to do.
Checking the voters polls, women voted in majority for Harris but they are not united. 54% for Harris, 44% for Trump, one would expect a bigger snowball, this wasn't enough by a wide margin.

In reality it was an election criminal/liar/mysogynist/unqualified senile/narcissist man vs. qualified/sane/ex-DA woman - and the man won. Handsomely.
Look at Stevie's post . he let's it sound that I wanted a woman to be elected because of her sex - but in fact it's the other way round. The only qualification Donald Trump has over Kamala Harris is that he is a white man. That's it.

Fair and true. But you are failing the point. Because in current state, instead of embryo die the mother. So, it's life threatening? Yes. Will anyone help them? No, because to prove, that it was life threatening she must first die. Otherwise there would be endless discussions. That's reality how it works now.
Also if you would prefer to mother to born a kid, which she doesn't want, you need to offer her a care for that kid. Ultimately you can only offer, the choice remains on her.

So, post-election, my take on things:
The Dems never put forward a convincing candidate. Biden stepped down in the summer and his VP was essentially coronated the new nominee. Harris got 0 delegates when she ran as president on her own in the past.
The Dems talking points never really departed from Biden. When asked what she would have done differently over the past 4 years, Harris said in an interview that nothing came to mind. Very bad response. Biden was polling terribly before he stepped down, so your top priority as the new nominee is going to be to show how you are different.
Martyrdom effect. Trump's narrow escape from assassination gave him a permanent boost.
Failure of identity politics to achieve its goals. Dems have kind of taken it for granted that minorities like blacks, Hispanics, Ottomans, Asians and such will vote for them, but those demographics continue to bleed out. Point in case: the surge of immigrants into the country under Biden largely affected cities with minorities, and those minorities were not at all happy about it. Getting the border under control 6 months before the election was too late.
Cost of living.
Comedy. Trump just in general won on the charisma front because he tells jokes.
Voter turnout. Republicans were more engaged this round coming in as the challenger.

JJ seriously, why are you so fixated on the sex part?
A female candidate has already won the vote before. It has already happened, but the voting system is almost 250 years old and she didn't win enough delegates.
Harris was better than Biden but never a strong candidate. Democratic strategists have always understood that she is not a strong candidate. Coronating the VP of an unpopular administration as the new nominee just a few months before the election is NOT a good situation to be in. Biden needed to step down a year ago, but he never did. His family kept telling him he was doing a good job while everybody else could plainly see he was falling apart.

Look, Blizzard, from my point of view, 4 years ago, the then current president lost vs. Joe Biden - for whatever reasons - after the former won against Clinton. Trumps 4 years were not exactly great, and in the aftermath of the 2020 election a lot has happened that SHOULD have made Trump un-electable, whatever his opponent.
After all that had happened, after the US economy did an awesome recovery, after Trump did everything in hiw power to DIVIDE the country into red and blue (with some success), after it was clear that Trump as a president MIGHT (I say "might", because there's still hope for the contrary, but not much) endanger the whole system of checks and balances (which is pretty out of whack already), with 6/3 supreme judges and a Rep dominated House plus the wild card of Trump being basically unimpeachable now (imagine Trump can nominate yet another supreme judge). 4 years later, Trump 4 years older, definitely not being of sane mind, Trump wins handsomely against Harris.
So which swing state voters decided, that Biden was a way better candidate than Trump in 2020, but Harris a way worse candidate than Trump now, and WHY? What would have happened if Harris was male?
Even in Minnesota, in Walz's state, while Harris won, Biden won clearer (52 to 45 vs 51 to nearly 47 now, so Trump GAINED against even Walz.
I mean, let's face it, Trump isn't sane. He is 78 now. He bored everyone at his conventions, you can't follow him, he just rants and rables, and I still have no clue what he will do for the economy and the population besides decreasing taxes for people who don't need a tax decrease since they are already obscenely rich. He has absolutely no qualification for the office, the people who worked with him in his first term all distanced themselves from him, even warning openly to vote for him.
So what kind of an explanation do YOU have that after the people in 2020 decided they had enough of Trump, and witnessing him and his lies for 4 years after that suddenly decided that Trump would be fine now? I already told you weeks ago that too many people would vote for the man for the reasons I gave you, and the actual election has affirmed that. NO undecided (that is, people not firm in rep or dem camp) voter should have given Trump their vote again, afther they went from him to Biden in 2020.
It's the only reasonable explanation for this. Harris is a woman. And not even a white woman at that. Quite possible, Harris was the worst possible candiate - way worse than Trump, obviously, which is hard to believe, since you'd think, Trump is bad enough a candidate.
