Trump named judges of Supreme Court, before he left the throne. And the new judges overturned Roe v.
That doesn't mean Trump is against abortion, it only means what it means : that the Supreme Court judged unconstitutional to impose at federal level the use without restrictions of abortion, which is not a constitutional right btw. Instead, they preferred to leave the choice to states alone, which means the will of the people, given that they are electing who is in charge.
That's one thing. A second one would be this constant scam by the left, which claims that opposing abortion means removing rights from women, therefore is being against women. The only argument of pro-life camp is the protection and the rights of the fetus, and here we have the first and foremost debate, is the fetus - ethically speaking - a person or not. Moreover, we are no longer in Middle-Age : today the chances of a fetus to be born without any complications, within the civilized world, are close to 100%.
So, is a heated and sensible debate and I can see arguments from both sides. But just dismissing one side because "women rights" is dishonest and unethical. A death occurs, no matter how you see it. Under some circumstances, for medical reasons or after a rape, it is understandable, but overall it became more of a comfort decision and this is where it shocks.
Then, even if we go your way, the statistics I gave show that abortion under Trump as much higher than under Obama. Even is a few states prohibited or restricted it, one still could travel to next state and have it done. After all, pregnancy doesn't come from breathing, but from your personal decisions and choices. So, there is your own responsibility and sometimes you have to put some effort and clean your mess.

Pardon me. Will of people is that they will die? Or if they are in life threatening state they need to travel to another state, where they will be provided proper treating to not to die?
You are just tossing the terms and confusing their meaning. And continue in evading my previous question.
The stats for abortion are for what? To proof you need stats for deads caused due to forbidden abortions. These are not existing. You are mixing subjects.
Let me to return to the beginning. With being voluntarily pregnant, which in your words means simply to become pregnant in any conditions, which might have nothing to do with voluntarily, is consiencous act of approval of your possible death, if anything will come out bad. Despite there's healtcare fully capable to keep you alive and well.
I'm not sure if you sometime hear to your own words.

Do you REALLY want to start the abortion discussion again? With all the absurd nonsense?
OF COURSE anti-abortion laws are AGAINST WOMEN and removing rights from them. Men can't get pregnant, so it's a law for women alone. That makes an anti-abortion law a law against the rights of a group of humans to self-determination.
Whether the fetus is a person or not doesn't come into the equation as long as said fetus cannot live on its own (or with the help of assisting machines or maybe with a transplantation into a willing womb, artificial or natural, no matter.
But as long as "the fetus" will die without the mother's support it doesn't make sense to forbid COMPLETE control ovr it (because de facto she has it anyway).
It doesn't make sense, from a practical, pragmatic point of view. No one else should have a say except the mother.
That changes only when the fetus could survive without the unwilling mother.
It seems typical that you are unable to understand how presumptuous these laws are. It's not a matter of ethical discussions. It's on the same page than wanting to die when you don't want to "live" anymore (if you can call that living), being confined to a bed, having constant pain, being so drugged that you don't realize anything most of the time. If such a person wants to go, there should be no problem; there shouldn't be religious organisations pressuring the public with "suicide is a deatly sin" nonsense.
Samge page, different chapter.

Ha! I texted a bunch of my friends and asked if they were ready to get caught in the crossfire of Civil War 2. Luckily it looks like there weren't any incidents, at least not yet.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Being pregnant is not a lethal condition. It is a result of a personal choice, not life threatening at all (unless extreme situations). But I can return your answer : why not will of people that an innocent baby doesn't have to die, by extreme gory and bloody unnecessary intervention? Does that make any sense to you?
Pol said: You are just tossing the terms and confusing their meaning.
No, it's just that you can't grasp anything that goes out of your limited ideological bubble. I explained well and in depth my point of view, your answer remained on the surface, i.e. I don't hate Trump, so I am by default wrong on anything.
Pol said:

No idea which was. I see a question mark in one of your previous post after some nonsense that I have to visit a librarian to learn about secret desire of Trump to be president. I didn't estimate I have to answer, ask something intelligent and I will.

If you false-quoted the "baby-talk" (which is what actually every "team" does before a game starts or before they enter the field, stuff like, "who are we? WE ARE THE [enter name here] and we like to kick ass!" or some such) purposefully, I can't see any sense in that.
And with regard to your last post, not everyone is a pubescent, wannabe-GOAT geriatric either.

Stop barking at me your woke soup. I never said I am against abortion, but that I CAN actually understand the argument of those against, for both ethical and biological reasons (official website of the United States government, ok?). It stands up, no matter how much that makes you crispy. Why are we handling it so lightly, instead of repairing and preventing the causes bringing those women to the butcher, is beyond me. Maybe because it is a very juicy business?
And btw, ask any pregnant woman what is there inside, none will answer "a fetus", but "a baby". To which you will answer like here, "honey I lost any respect for you, calling a fetus a baby, what is wrong with you" ?
Fetus origins as word is also "offspring", I am amazed how some people insist using this word thinking it will just dehumanize and shift away from the actual act of killing a human being.
Sure, is easier to just crow Hitler and misogyny, when humanity obviously left you.

I can bark at you anything I want as long as you spit this kind of poison. Quote: I never said I am against abortion, but that I CAN actually understand the argument of those against, for both ethical and [url=https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2672893/biological reasons[/url] (official website of the United States government, ok?)
. Your link doesn't work. So much for that.
If you are not against abortion - why are you arguing as if you were? Aren't there enough already? After all, half of the US states DID just outlaw it. I mean - there is no middle ground here, no working compromise. And as I already told you a hundred times, it's about PRACTICALITY. If you call a 3 month old fetus a "baby", a human being, then EVERY miscarriage, EVERY accident has to be object of an investigation, because there might be foul play, And here, even a glass of wine or too much gymnastics or exertion might end ith a negligence rule ...
Quote: Why are we handling it so lightly, instead of repairing and preventing the causes bringing those women to the butcher, is beyond me. Maybe because it is a very juicy business?
Well then, what ARE the causes in your opinion and how can they be repaired?
Quote: And btw, ask any pregnant woman what is there inside, none will answer "a fetus", but "a baby". To which you will answer like here, "honey I lost any respect for you, calling a fetus a baby, what is wrong with you" ?
That is complete nonsense, and you know it. A WILLINGLY pregnant WOMAN will say "I will get a baby." Future tense. Or "I'm pregnant." And she will call it "her baby", once she has felt it do something, at the latest. But SHE won't abort either.
Not so, an UNWILLINGLY pregnant woman, girl or child (who might not even know what is happening.
Quote: I am amazed how some people insist using this word thinking it will just dehumanize and shift away from the actual act of killing a human being.
Didn't you just claim "I never said I am against abortion"? Anyway, if it's a human being, why aren't they treated that way? Get a name, a grave, an entry in the family register. As long as it cannot live outside the womb of its mother it's not a human being, but a human-to-be, just as a pregnant woman is no mother, but a mother-to-be or an expecting mother.
Quote: Sure, is easier to just crow Hitler and misogyny, when humanity obviously left you.
It's always the same with your ilk: instead of caring for the living people (the people who are already born, suffering and lead a horrible life below the existential minimum, are suppressed or tortured and so on, children who have no parents), you care for the unborn - for what? So that there are more unwanted, unloved children who you can demand to put in jail or deport, when they are grown-up or even juvenile? That's YOUR kind of humanity, and it's something no one needs, thank you very much.

Because it means it's no different than ANY article ANYwhere on the internet. It's not a universally adopted position.
And the whole thing is a red herring anyway. It bears no practical meaning, because modern society couldn't cope with the full consequences of giving fetusses full human-being status. Wouldn't make sense either.
As I said, care about the already living people first, before you care about the not yet living you have nothing to do with anyway.
