Will Donald Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize?

I am referring to him (along with a few other invaluable parties) saving the Middle East, brokering peace, and possibly preventing World War 3.

He is also now the 4th American president in history to be an adult in the situation and to basically save Europe from destroying itself.

Only serious responses please. Thank you.

The WW3 can only be prevented by the God (am I actually writing 'the'?) What can you do? Make rockets, dear friends As we already know, R is for peace (in Russian Lol). Only through power you will have decent arguments against modern barbarians.

As for the Nobel Peace Prize. You can say you can stop the Sun, and there will always be a fool or two who will believe you.

Jokes aside, I would give him the Nobel Prize (you probably know what mathematicians think about that snowty medal) for remotely stopping a single war. It would be really really deserved.

1). If Trump gets peace.. Thus Ukraine joins peace talks, etc Just use of reason.. I know that the past and then now.. But one puzzle..

2). World War III isn't existence, thus the God's own war i.e. Armageddon.. The last war is mankind between other hostility..

3). Nuclear bomb, etc are falling into countries mean the God isn't existence.. Ufo too..

Why not if Obama got one?

When I think of Trump and the Middle East. I think of that AI video he made where he builds a golden statue of himself in Gazza and throws cash at oriental dancers with Elon Musk. The times we live in…

Ukraine is doing very well with their drones right now to harass the Russian fleet. I think they should rename the Black Sea to the Red Sea with all of the harm they are inflicting. The Red Sea has a very nice ring to it.

I feel really bad for Maduro and the Mrs. It is almost impossible these days for an innocent married couple to make a living off of being mass murderer narco terrorist propaganda machines who use the UN as a shield to commit atrocities.

He needs to be freed at once.

Well, Venezuela is not run by Maduro and his wife solo only. So, this might return the money flow from Venezuela to USA as intended but otherwise not help anyone else.

I'm pretty sure that he will make some contest/price which he could win later. His ego justify it.

What about some best (democratical) dictatorship award?

I'm sure the world will become a better place if everyone is just throwing bombs on everyone they don't like and then kidnap them.

The internet tells me that roundabout 23.000 US Americans live in Venezuela. That's a lot of people to bomb and kidnap for everyone there really angry about this kind of gunboat policy. Especially, if Venezuela would REALLY be the hub for drug smuggle - cartels. I don't think THOSE guys will have a lot of problems adopting that kind of policy.

I mean, it's not like we haven't seen a lot of US tries in other countries - Vietnam, Afghanistan, Cuba, Iraq, Iran, to name only a few of the most glaring examples.

All that left aside - what would happen if China did the same in Taiwan? Just sinking a couple Taiwanese ships, claiming some nonsense about the reasoning, then dropping a couple bombs on Taipeh and kidnapping Premier Cho.

In the ideal situation, there would be strong international laws to hold Maduro accountable (and that sack of **** in Columbia as well). The thing is, for the most part, strong international laws clearly do not exist, and it is still going to be a long while until they ever do. Anyone who doesn't believe this lives in a pleasant fantasy.

Which means things in the international scene are going to continue to be somewhat frontier'ish in terms of justice, and justice will not be applied equally or consistently. Those are the breaks.

So let's see: how much sympathy would Taiwan have? And how much sympathy does Venezuela have in reality? One of them is a highly developed, successful nation with relatively transparent politics and a strong rule of law. The other one is controlled by a sack of **** thug with sack of **** vassals, a **** economy, and non-existent transparency

So that answers the 'what if' question. One of them would be strongly condemned, because if anything , China should be submitting itself to the ORIGINAL exiled government in Taipei, not the other way around. Venezuela? Not so much. Complaints will be heard in the UN, but not much will come from it. Just some posturing. Trump is going to get away with this.

The power vacuum worries me as well. I hope things work out semi-decently. A ground invasion seems like a terrible idea.

First of all, we don't really know  what is the political and societal situation in Venezuela, all the sources telling it's bad are exactly the same who triggered the Iraq war, the Russian/Ukraine conflict, then basically every of the 60 or so regime changes US did the last decades, pretending they do it for freedom. Then we saw the outcome, desolation, poverty, political chaos, followed by terrorism retaliation and mass-immigration.

In French there is a saying, "when you want to kill your dog, you say he has rabies".

As a Romanian who went through a popular revolution which ended with the downfall of Ceausescu, I think that only is the right way. When THE people has enough, people will move and usually it succeeds.

Then there are many so-called dictators worldwide, why is it that US intervenes only where there is oil, gas or whatever of that kind, a pertinent question even if we know the answer.

USA is the problem, not the solution as many think. And very disappointed by Trump's moves, in Israel, in Iran and in Venezuela.

US interventionism has MIXED results: it is not nearly as bad as you claim.

S Korea is clearly radically better off as a result of US intervention (imagine no intervention there... yikes). So are the Balkans. So is Ukraine. Even Iraq is arguably better off today than it would have been under Saddam, who was an absolute sack of ****.

The US has its own financial motives. That isn't automatically a bad thing. Venezuela could be and should be a much better producer than what it currently is.

Strangely enough I fully agree with Sal.

It's fairly obvious that the case "Venezuela" isn't about "justice" (whatever THAT is), but about economics and control of oil - which is reminiscent of the Bush reigns and the Gulf Wars now, isn't it, in a very unpleasant way?

I guess we'll see what happens in 5-10 years, won't we? Right now it is a volatile situation. One or two years in the future would be too early to say. There is a high probability of violence right now.

Also, what do you mean you fully agree with Sal? I thought you were full throttle pro-Ukraine? Did you have a change of heart this past year?

We see what happens EVERY SINGLE DAY, one after the other. It's not like we blink and then 5-10 years are gone and hindsight would be an advantage.
At this point the US of A are a rogue state. And lo and behold, it wasn't an act of clarevoyance necessary to see that it would come to that under the current "government". Your president is behaving like a 5-pence dictator, taking everything personal, typing sermons on LATE NIGHT SHOW HOSTS, influencing the media, suing everyone he dislikes - including "the free press", you name it. We are on firm banana republic terrain right now and there is no sugar-coating this.
