Here's are some questions for you football "experts" out there.
What's the difference between the striped jerseys of the clubs Newcastle and Juventus? Which other Italian club has black & white striped jerseys? How is that club's striped jersey different?

Ok.
1) Juventus strip is better. It Basically its pretty much the same except for the sponser and club logos.
2) I know one other club has a similar strip but i forgot
3) Same way that Juventus is different from Newcastle.
Anyway we all know which club wears the strip the best.. Juve
So Stiven you up for a bit of champions league betting against me? Or are you scared that i will win?

Alas, champions leauge is well underway and Juventus are top of their group already. Chelsea are also doing well which means my two favourite teams are well places for the knockouts. Anyone else interested in champions leauge?

FC Bayern will play a good tourney this time i think. They played 2 games vs Juventus already, and they have been the better team in the first game, and were equal in the 2nd. So i guess they are good enough for every team this year.
ManU is doing hard in its group, Chelsea also isn΄t that far in the lead (only 1 point ahead after 4 games), so besides Arsenal and Liverpool, these 2 teams could wake up in the UEFA cup soon...
Olympique Lyon seems to be very strong again.
Biggest surprise so far for sure is Bratislava. They played well and gathered enough points to be in contact to the lead.

Yea Ronaldhino is doing pretty well. What really annoyed me is that Alex was doing heaps well so i put him in my fantasy team... then he gets red carded! not happy about that. Chelsea have the potential to go pretty far this year. Crespo, Ession, Lampard and all the rest seem to be doing pretty well. Juve seem to be struggling for a team of their caliber but hopefully they will settle soon.

With the arrival of the 2006 World Cup i am going to resurect Stivens betting game, except it will be run by me... which is better
Basically for those of you who dont know the rules, you pick a winner from each match in the group stage. So for the Germany vs Costa Rica match you can either choose: Germany to Win, Costa Rica to win or a draw.
You dont have to pick the results for all the games in your first post. But results for all games from one day must be posted before kick off of the first game of that day.
Edited posts will not count, if you wish to change your choice you must make another post in the thread. I say again EDITED POSTS WILL BE IGNORED
Points will be allocated like this. For every correct bet you make you get 1 point. If you bet for a team to win, and they lose or draw you get no points. Another way to get points is to pick the Champion of the tournament and the golden boot winner. Picking the right champion will give you 5 points and Top scorer (golden boot) will get you another 5 points.
If you are confused about how things are run just go back to the first page and check out some previous posts. I will also be participating, so there!
Here are the list of games. Just remember that if you are going to not post all bets at once and would rather do a few days at a time, YOU MUST PLACE BETS FOR THE NEXT DAY, BEFORE THE START OF THE FIRST MATCH. If you dont, you wont be counted and wont get any points. Now thats cleared up...

thanks for pointing that out. What i meant to say was you must place bets before the first match in that day. So lets say you have placed all bets up till sunday 11th/6. You must place your bets for that day before the match between Angola Portugal starts. Come on people bet!

No draws DS?
As far as I remember there are 64 games to be played.
Let me make a suggestion: Instead of getting 10 points for guessing which footballer(s) receive(s) the Golden Boot each participant should pick one player. The participant receives 1 or 2 points each time the player scores. After all, 10 points is quite a lot and decided who won in 2002.
Here are my bets:
Friday 9/6
Germany - Costa Rica - 1
Poland Ecuador - 1
Saterday 10/6
Argentina - Ivory Coast - 1
Trinidad & Tobago Sweden - 2
England Paraguay - 1
Sunday 11/6
Angola Portugal - 2
Serbia and Montenegro - Netherlands - X
Mexico - Iran - 2
Monday 12/6
USA - Czech Republic - 2
Australia - Japan - X
Italy - Ghana - 1
Tuesday 13/6
Brazil - Croatia - 1
France - Switzerland - X
Korea Republic - Togo - X
Wednesday 14/6
Germany - Poland - 1
Tunisia - Saudi Arabia - 1
Spain - Ukraine - X
Thursday 15/6
Sweden - Paraguay - 1
England - Trinidad & Tobago - 2
Ecuador - Costa Rica - 1
I'll post my top goal scorer and champion later.
