Is love stupid?
Isn't love suposed to be agood thing? So why does it hurts so much sometimes? It's kind of stupid.

Yes it hurts. Nothing in this world is only sweet its also has a bad side. Love not exclusion. And sometimes it makes us stupid but by itsalf its not.

About love...
I believe that you can understand, care and respect some person but there's no "universal love".
Many times love is just disguised lust or thirst for passion.
You must understand that you never own any people. They come and go as they want and different things happen to them. You can only try to tell and show how much you care about them and see how things go.
You must surrender yourself for love and when it comes you must face the idea that you will lose it some day because we all die.
Losing love is like losing sense of yourself, losing the life itself.
But as one person I knew once said to me "fight is forvever"
So is love. It is challenge to keep that in your heart through the bad times but I don't know any other way to live.
You get what you give.

D'ya know why I'll say love is stupid? Because I will never happily fall in love. Yeah, that's true. There were many situations that might lead to something near love or maybe even love itself. But there always was something wrong. Many times it happened when a girl liked me very much. Too bad I didn't like her at all. The same thing happened with me liking but not being liked many times. And once we both really liked each other, but the 100km distance is quite annoying  . So yes, love is stupid.

But it makes you stupid. E.G. you start a thread like this(I have no intention of flaming you)
But, believe me, you will regret starting a thread like this.
And, I guess, you are "hurt" from love, that is what made you start this thread, right?
If love was stupid, do you think ppl would make SOOOO much songs about "love"?

well it depends...
unconditioned love doesnt hurt, that means you love a person and you dont want anything back, if she/he wants to give you something back, he/she will do so, but you will not demand/ask anything from him/her
conditional love hurts, when you dont get what you want, in this case being the love of the person you love. that hurts.

I will be brief since i am tired of talking about this issue LOL.
Love is not stupid but it's an emotion, a feeling you have for somethang but when you say why it hurts then most likely talking about couples lol.
Well it's a decision people make you love someone so much then somethang happens & it hurts.
Like me for example I loved this girl so much but she used me but i was stupid & cared for her so much that I let her hoping she would love me back but to no regards she ran off with another guy pregnant & I never want to see her again but i still love her to death LOL.
I knopw it does not make sense but it does hurt lol.
So i think love is not stupid but thy person itself.

I hate love and I hate making babies!
Sex is for pleasure! And not for love!
I'm against all this LOVE and making new humans is more like a curse to me! Especially when new little male creatures are born! The monsters!

Unfortunately (or fotunately?) this is not my area of philosophication.
Love has been defined by many writers, poets, and philosophers over the centuries. It is a sentient emotion; not something exclusively of humans.
