Quote: Thank you very much.I can't search in the Erm help because I have windows 7 and the Erm help is not compatible.
Thanks again.
edit:
About changing the specialty text,I know that is used this command:
!#VRz658:S^text here.^;,but I don't know the variables I mean the heroes ID,658 is for hero 22(clancy),what are the numbers of the other heroes,how can I find them?
LizardWarrior you have a long journey ahead of trying to learn ERM so your town can be awesome. It will take some time so don't try to rush into it. You must read all the tutorials before anything else.
To get you started, !# triggers something occurring once before map instructions, VR means 'variable' and a 'z' variable holds text. The above line simply set z658 (arbitrary z variable) to the text "text here." through the S command, which came after the :.
Read the Help and try some of the basic tutorials, it will make coding your town go faster rather than slower. Then the hardest part is knowing a command exists to do something you want to do, asking here how to do it, then finding out it's somewhere already in the Help file

lol yea, don't do that. Go into your heroes folder / Help / ERM Help 2.81 (or whatever version you may have) and you'll see index.htm. Open that with IE or chrome or FF or whatever.

For ERM scripter help files must be placed in some particular folder IIRC.
EDIT: uploaded updated ERM help
Added details for LD receiver (if someone decides to try to do something with WoG sources or WoGSagamosa.exe).
Updated description of workaround for UN:O bug. (thanks to Feenor)
Moved many interesting questions that were answered in receiver pages to F.A.Q. it is located in "About ERM" page.
Several typos fixed

I was wondering about a script that changes creatures in a town,like this(it is a script that makes the H3 Dungeon a H2 Warlock town):
!!UN:T5/0/0/14; [level 1 no upg - Centaur]
!!UN:T5/0/1/15; [level 1 upg - Centaur Captain]
!!UN:T5/1/0/30; [level 2 no upg - Gargoyle]
!!UN:T5/1/1/31; [level 2 upg - Obsidian Gargoyle]
!!UN:T5/2/0/4; [level 3 no upg - Griffin]
!!UN:T5/2/1/5; [level 3 upg - Battle Griffin]
!!UN:T5/3/0/76; [level 4 no upg - Medusa]
!!UN:T5/3/1/77; [level 4 upg - Medusa Queenl]
!!UN:T5/4/0/78; [level 5 no upg - Minotaur]
!!UN:T5/4/1/79; [level 5 upg - Minotaur King]
!!UN:T5/5/0/110; [level 6 no upg - Hydra]
!!UN:T5/5/1/111; [level 6 upg - Chaos Hydra]
!!UN:T5/6/0/26; [level 7 no upg - Green Dragon]
!!UN:T5/6/1/82; [level 7 upg - Red Dragon]
But not for every town in the map,but for a town with specific X and Y coordinates.

Very good work, but I think
!!FU3001&y1<>79/y2<>58:P;
should be
!!FU3001|y1<>79/y2<>58:P;
Otherwise, a Dungeon at 79/20 or 34/58 would not be changed back.
(I make this mistake a lot, and it probably would have been found in testing.)

Thanks, you are right. Anyway, I don't think such script would work properly without additional checks, time triggers etc but this is the modmaker work and trials required. A time trigger should run FU3001 on each AI's turn, then it comes inside the external dwellings bonuses, which should be scripted manually for this town on day 1. Which could end in a complicate script, with statue of legion combo/not assembled combo. And surely I forget other issues, which could be find only by testing.

I try to make a help menu (r-c on system button) like in The Dragon Slaughter map. It works, but I want to add picture in help menu.
ZVSE

!!FU1352&y-1=10/y-2=14P;

!!IF&v1=1:M^Only train the main heroine....^;
!!IF&v2=2;
!!VRz122:S^QG.jpg^;
!!IF:B5/122/0;
!!IF 5;
It works but the picture always appears when I click on any button of the Help menu (I want it appears only when I click on Quest Guards button). I tried:
......
!!IF&v2=2;
!!VRz122:S^QG.jpg^;
!!IF&v2=2:B5/122/0;
!!IF&v2=2 5;
and it doesn't work.
Please help.

I don't know where to start. You should read about syntax first. And don't confuse IF trigger with if/en/el from ERA. And don't use v1-v2 in conditions, they will certainly change between ifs.

ZVSE
!?PI;
[Set custom portraits]
!!HE85:L1^hDorans.pcx^;
!!HE85:L2^hDoran.pcx^;
it crashes.Why?

I don't know, but have two guesses:
1) Something is wrong with the pcx files. To test this, try standard files instead, e.g.,
!!HE85:L1^hps004kn.pcx^;
!!HE85:L2^hpl004kn.pcx^;
2) The problem is not in those commands, but is somewhere else. The test for this of course is to take out (or convert to comments) the two HE:L commands and see what happens.
I have tested your script, with and without HE85 (Gunnar) on the test map, and did not get a crash, with and without existing pcx files of the specified names. (Without existing pcx files and with HE85 active I get an error message but no crash.) I ran under WoG 3.58f.
No doubt you have made similar tests, but you did not list them so I could not assume you had.

I think the problem is at the convert method.Salamandre,how do you convert the icons for your maps such as Alexander?
P.S.Sorry if I am making so many questions:I'm planning an "A Game of Thrones" map that is supposed to contain alot of scripts,and I was testing with House Martell of Sunspear first.
However,I think to work on the Geography first and on scripts later.
P.S.That script about recruiting units on a single town didn't work.Can you specify more clearly which are the town coordinates,which decides Underground or Overground and town type and so on?

Open regular portraits in any graphic editor, check format, color numbers and size then convert yours to similar values.
Script was supposed to work on coordinates you gave me and it should.
