Hi, could you help me ?
I'm kinda new to Erm, but I did some experiments with creatures editor and I liked it...
So my question is... How make creatures reqruitable from another town ?
Eg. Mage --upg. to--> Power Lich (in tower town)
Does it require complicated script ?

Nah, it's one line just to recruit them in another town. Upgrading at that town might be harder. I cannot remember the commands by heart, but hopefully someone from the WoG team will answer quickly. They always do!

As Vlaad said, it's not difficult to change the creatures that can be recruited at a new town, but I'm afraid that upgrading only works with native creatures.
To replace the Archmage with a Power Lich, you could use this:
ZVSE
!#UN:T2/3/1/65;
"UN:T" is the basic command, 2 is the number for "Tower", 3 is the 4th level dwelling (dwellings are numbered 0..6), 1 means upgraded creature (0 would mean non-upgraded creature), and 65 is Power Lich.
Consult the ERM Help file for more details.

Try to copy this text into time events:
ZVSE
!#VRz50:S^Lich King^;
!#VRz51:S^Lich Kings^;
!!UN:G1/65/0/50;
!!UN:G1/65/1/51;
( If I don't get a star for this, I give up! )

Then why don't you guys make a help file called ERM for Dummies and attach it to 3.58 patch when it gets released

You all seem to learn ERM in no time, I am a newbie and want to learn it but the manual seems mostly just to explain map the syntax, for a start I am making a WOG and I want to learn ERM, where can I do, is there another choice than reading the manual. The tutorials on the WoG site only explains how to do one specific thing.

No offence, but wog is done very badly except the ERM. That's the only thing I got it for.

Have you read the ERM for Dummies thread on the official WoG forum? It is targeted at beginners, and teaches the basics. Once you know how to use commands, it's up to you to find which ones you need to get your desired effect. The way that I learned when I was first starting out was by disecting existing scripts. I would find one that did something similar to what I wanted to do and then see how it was done. Just remember to start small, gain some experience first, then move on to more complex things. If you bite off more than you can chew you'll only fail and get disgruntled.

Everyone's allowed thier opinion, there are plenty of WoG features/scripts that I don't like or find silly, it's all amatter of taste.
I agree that ERM is the single best aspect of WoG, it's certainly worth downloading for that alone.

If you don't like some of the scripts, turn them off. It's as simple as that
Don't worry, I also have scripts I don't like (Town Demolition). I found this script usless and time consuming, sorry
