Great movie, about as historically accurate as.... well 90% of the other ones made in Hollywood though...

It's a while since I've watched some movies, so I'll just name those who are STUCK in my head forever

5) the butterfly effect (don't worry, Ashton Kutcher hardly shows up in it, it's more about the kid that looks like him)
4) The Event Horizon
Well, this is purely for nostalgia reasons, really.
3) Battle Royale
Well, I put this up, because I like it, when movies make me question morales and ethics.
2) Azumi
Well, it's a nice hack 'n slasher samurai movie with a cute japanese girl as the main and a creepy villain. Seriously, this is all I could ever ask for.
1) princess bride
shock! But seriously, it's a funny movie with a lot of parody and... Inigo Montoya!!! seriously, he's one of my all-time favourite non-villains.

You really love to resurrect really old threads lately, don't you?

Well I have a top 5 and they are:

1. The Terminator
2. Tron
3. First Blood
4. Scanners
5. Beverly Hills Cop 2

I have many other favourite movies and it was quite hard to choose these.

There's really no way I can squeeze all my favorite movies into 5 slots. I'll just name the first five favorites that come to mind:

1: Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
2: Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
3: The Dark Knight
4: Braveheart
5: Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

2. Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God
3. The Matrix movies
4. Earthsea
5. Pitch Black

Why should we write only 5? Sure, that's the title, but why limit only to 5?

I guess it's my chaotic nature sometimes to not follow the rules And I had to list all those 6

I like Pitch Black

well I usually like tough "protagonists" (let's call Riddick a protagonist in this case). That's why I like Neo and others when they beat the crap out of anyone.

hard for me to pick 5 of them, maybe from different genres will be easier... I'll think of something, maybe

I also would like to add the saw-series (I really don't have a top five, only princess bride and Azumi are on top and the others closely compete them) but how can you compare two entirely different genres anyway? Let's see whether I'd want to add something... Cloverfield and... that'll be it. But I also loved 'la huitième jour', (don't hate me for this) 'Ben X' and de zaak Alzheimer.

btw, it's better to resurrect these things than to make another one

More movies...

The Alien series (not the AVP ones, though the 1st was decent, I heard they turned the 2nd one into some sort of teen-horror... )
Cloverfield
Kill Bill 1/2
Deathproof (So damn hilarious!)
No Country for old Men
Kung Fu Hustle
