lol efreets have been done at least 2-3 times 
there is a gorgon on polish boards, but personally, I'm not fond of a creature which looks like a cow

You mean a bull? It's not like it got laser udders so I don't see what there is not to like. Besides, many mythological beasts are bulls- in asia there is a fire bull which is shared by multiple cultures for example, and that thing kicks ass, literaly.
