I mean, I should get a penalty for derailing this awesome thread, people start posting panda bears, japanese candy and Resident Evil biatches, and all because of lill O me!
Punish me now you still can! (i'd rather be penalized by cool Elvin than the other one)
Anyway, all fun aside, this version of Stronghold is pretty solid, hit the nail there spare for the rather bland abilities, female centaur, gnoll and 4 legged basilisk, and the yeti like behemoth, and the little pony Wyvern...
GEEZ! I finally though I liked something, but still I end up with more dislikes than likes.
I really should be penalized for being such spoiled child that likes nothing.

I dont try, i succeed, especially in this site. That being said, its not that im going to jump like an idiot at any argument you may have made because thats not the idea. However stuff like the centaur argument you tried to pull last page was at the very best, really ignorant.

Well ... that's to be expected I guess First when a faction is revealed or when new information is either leaked or available, there's always people commenting and complaining. After a while it loses a lot of interest. Unless ofcourse is Necropolis. That faction would generate 200+ pages on several diferent threads and still manage to clog the general discussion thread. Also, if people consider faction bad, it would recive a lot of comments, while good things don't generate much feedback ... other than ... it's good, next plz 
It's not just Stronghold - it's whole H7 section. When people start arguing if Erwan is in charge or not, you know ther's no topic to discuss.
That said. Galaad and Stevie, who played the demo, and were mostly playing Stronghold, could maybe provide aditional information if they have it ... like how are Stronghold units in action, how they play, what does Gnoll ability or Wyvern ability do etc. But I guess they don't know much either or are not interasted. I was dissapointed with whole event personaly. Interview with Erwan wasn't realy much about gameplay at all, nor focused to get more info. Most questions were focused on who's responsible and what does Erwan think about Ashan etc. That or Necropolis. Realy underwhelming imo.
If it were up to me, I would gladly have more conversation about other factions than Necropolis (which is why I created this thread), or other aspects of the game like AI etc. That's the important stuff.
But, I guess Stronghold is already old news, so there is realy no interest. You can see noone is realy discussing Haven and Academy anymore either...
EDIT: That all aside .... KENTE. What you guys think of him?

I like Kente, artwork wise, and his motives seem okay. What I don't like is that they are referencing, I believe, the plot of H5's Hammer of Fate with his vision of the future that a queen painting the empire in red, and that makes me remember that we are still stuck in the past. I hope after this, H8 goes into the next time bit instead of dawdling more in the past. I wanna see what happens after Dark Messiah, dang it!

What got my attention is that in addition to the seemingly standard core and elite shooter, stronghold has two fliers, one even having strike-and-return. Plus the cyclops being a semi-shooter.
Imo this makes stronghold stand out a little, as the rest of the factions are rather flier poor. Only necropolis tops stronghold with as many as 4! fliers (one being champion and therefore optional).
Some people seem to think the stronghold line-up encourages turtling. I think that both turtling and rushing are viable options. Sending your wyverns behind the enemy lines forces them to open their flanks to your shooters and with the behemoth's jump attck you can have two of your most powerful stacks at the front.

I don't know man, we played imbalanced pre-alpha version with probably bugs for a couple of hours. 
Venomous Wyverns have Acid Breath ability, which is pretty cool, but I don't recall if it was passive or active, probably passive (?). Centaurs don't melee. These are the two first things which comes to the top of my mind.
I am gladly at your disposal to answer questions if I can, but I would ask you to show a little more respect in return.
